A Disappointing Experience at “Pet Pantry warehouse Scarsdale” : No Hot Water for Dog Wash** I recently visited Pet pantry warehouse with high hopes for their self dog wash service, having previously enjoyed their food offerings. Unfortunately, my experience this time was far from satisfactory, and I feel compelled to share my story to warn others. Upon discovering that they offered a self dog wash, I called the location to confirm details, as their website stated that pet washes could be scheduled via advanced registration or by walk-in, depending on availability. Despite my attempts to reach them, my calls went unanswered. Undeterred, I decided to arrive at 6 PM, just an hour before closing, hoping to take advantage of the walk-in option. When I arrived, I spoke with John, who informed me that the dog wash was closed an hour early and was now appointment-only. I explained that I had called beforehand and received no response. After some back and forth, he reluctantly agreed to let me wash my dog. I appreciated his willingness to accommodate me, but that was where the positives ended. As I began washing my dog, I quickly realized that the water was cold—far from the warm water I expected for such a service. When I brought this to John's attention, he explained that the previous appointment had used up the hot water. I was taken aback; why was I not informed that I would be washing my pet with cold water? In 2025, it seems unreasonable for a business that offers pet washing services not to have a reliable hot water supply, especially during winter months. My dog was visibly uncomfortable, shivering and distressed, which only added to my frustration. To make matters worse, the dryer provided was only blowing cold air, and we were given just two small towels to dry off my 75-pound dog. My sister and I were both appalled by the lack of consideration. We hurried to dry our dog and leave as quickly as possible. As we exited, John asked how the bath went. My sister, maintaining her composure, simply stated it was "horrible" due to the lack of hot water. Instead of offering an apology or showing understanding, John became defensive and mentioned that the wash would be free. While I appreciated the gesture, it was never about the cost; it was about the principle of providing a humane and comfortable experience for pet. I cannot recommend Pet Pantry warehouse for their self dog wash service. The lack of hot water and inadequate drying facilities made for a distressing experience for both my dog and us. I will be sharing this experience with friends and family to ensure they think twice before visiting. This is not a place I would support again, and I hope they take this feedback seriously to improve their services in the future.

So knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. A much more personal experience than online and any big chain I’ve ever been to. Happy to support a small business out there really doing good work.

I visit with my doodle Skylah all the time! All of the staff are very friendly and welcoming. Also knowledgeable and recommend healthy products. My puppy always gets a treat when visiting and we’re asked if she has any allergies before they offer it to her. We have used the spa as well and it’s so convenient! Also love the coupons in the mail! Sweet potato treats are her favorite!

Extremely helpful staff with high quality food and treat options. Highly recommend.
