In the charming town of Elsmere, local residents are exceptionally fortunate to have access to a facility that consistently earns high praise: Elsmere Dog Park. This park stands out as a premier destination, providing a secure and stimulating environment where furry friends can enjoy freedom and interaction to their heart's content.

Elsmere Dog Park is not just another fenced-in area; it's a thoughtfully designed recreational space that prioritizes the comfort and enjoyment of both dogs and their human companions. As one enthusiastic first-time visitor exclaimed, it's a "Fantastic dog park. Agility course on both sides lots of rooms for the dogs. They have benches, bags, trash, shade, water fountains, even an information board. It’s all around a great place. Thank you Elsmere Dog Park." This review perfectly encapsulates the comprehensive amenities that make this park a local favorite.

A key aspect of its appeal is the dual nature of its play areas. The park features two separate, securely fenced sections, one specifically for large dogs and the other for smaller canines. This intelligent division ensures that dogs of all sizes can play comfortably and safely with peers of appropriate size and energy levels, fostering positive interactions and minimizing potential stress. Each side even boasts its own "agility course," providing mental and physical challenges for active pups.

The commitment to cleanliness and convenience is also a recurring theme in visitor feedback. While some public dog parks struggle with maintenance, Elsmere Dog Park is noted for being relatively clean, though the ongoing cooperation of owners in picking up after their dogs is always encouraged. With amenities like water fountains for both dogs and humans, ample shade, and even an information board, Elsmere Dog Park truly offers a superior experience. For Delaware locals, this park represents a significant community asset, fostering healthier, happier dogs and building a stronger network among pet owners.

It's a nice park. It has an obstacle course, which is great! I like that it's half grass & half mulch. They have a water fountain & bowls for the dogs. Right next to it, there is a small dog park. Other parks we've been to are not as clean, with poop everywhere. This park doesn't seem to be that bad. I wish owners would pick up after their dogs.

From the perspective Of a traveler passing through. The dog park is completely fenced in. There Is a fenced in area for small dogs and an equal sized fenced in area for large dogs. Plenty of parking. Grassy areas as well as mulched areas. And lots of trees for shade on the large dog park area. We came here On a Thursday, January 25 at around 3:50 PM. There are no other dogs here at this time and because it has been unseasonably warm. There is lots of mud and puddles of water. Please make sure you bring towels to clean your dog off afterwards. There are also trash bags and garbage receptacles for disposal of your dogs Bowel movements. Please pick up your dogs poop it’s gross when you don’t and it’s Very uncool. Side note, there are also water fountains for refilling dog bowls.

Great park. Space for large and small dogs, no membership required, shaded seating, agility obstacles (some a little broken), free poop bags, trash can inside park, easy parking, water fountain (for people, no bowl), lots of space. Weedy/grassy with some bare spots. Very quiet on the Sunday that we went. Puddles after rain.
