For those driving, access to the park is straightforward. A smaller, secondary entrance can also be found on 2525 Buena Vista, past Cipriani Park, up the hill on the right and through the athletic field. This multi-faceted approach to access ensures that residents from various parts of Belmont and surrounding areas can easily reach this wonderful dog-friendly destination. The park is typically open from sunrise to sunset, or until 8:00 PM, providing ample time for visits throughout the day.

Services Offered
  • Spacious Off-Leash Area: Cipriani Dog Park boasts a generously sized, fenced-in area where dogs can safely run and play off-leash. This expansive space allows for ample exercise and spirited games of fetch without the worry of your dog wandering off.

  • Separate Small Dog Area: Understanding that not all dogs are the same size or play with the same intensity, the park features a dedicated, separate fenced area specifically for smaller dogs. This ensures that pint-sized pups can play comfortably and safely with others their own size.

  • Water Station: Keeping your dog hydrated is crucial, especially after an energetic play session. The park provides a convenient water station, allowing you to easily refill your dog's bowl and ensure they stay refreshed during their visit.

  • Dog Waste Stations: Responsible pet ownership is encouraged, and the park makes it easy to comply. Dog waste shovels and garbage cans are readily available throughout the park, and dog waste bags are often provided at the two entrances, promoting a clean and pleasant environment for everyone.

  • Benches and Picnic Tables: For human companions, the park offers several benches and picnic tables. These provide comfortable spots to sit, relax, and observe your dog's joyful antics, or simply enjoy the fresh air while your furry friend socializes.

Features / Highlights
  • Fully Enclosed Fencing: The park is completely fenced, providing a secure environment for dogs to run freely without concerns of them straying. This full enclosure offers peace of mind for dog owners, allowing them to relax and enjoy their visit.

  • Ample Space for Running: With a size of approximately 3/4 acre, Cipriani Dog Park offers one of the larger off-leash areas you’ll find in the region. This generous space is perfect for dogs that love to sprint, providing plenty of room for energetic play and long-distance fetch.

  • Shade: While not abundant, the park does offer some shaded areas, providing a reprieve from the California sun on warmer days. These spots are appreciated by both dogs and their owners looking for a cool place to rest.

  • Regularly Frequented by Locals: Cipriani Dog Park is a popular spot among Belmont residents, leading to a friendly and familiar atmosphere. This consistent flow of visitors often means a good mix of dogs for socialization, and many regulars appreciate the opportunity to connect with other local dog owners.

  • Well-Maintained: Visitors frequently comment on the park's cleanliness and upkeep. The presence of waste stations and the general care taken by visitors contribute to a pleasant experience for all.

Promotions or Special Offers

Currently, Cipriani Dog Park does not offer specific promotions or special offers in the traditional sense, as it is a public park maintained by the city of Belmont. However, its greatest "promotion" is its consistent availability as a free, well-maintained, and dedicated off-leash space for dogs. Unlike private dog parks or training facilities that might have membership fees or special programs, Cipriani Dog Park remains a free and open resource for the community.

The value of Cipriani Dog Park lies in its inherent offering: a safe and spacious environment for your dog to play, socialize, and exercise without cost. This was a great find! I was in town for a short while, and I had my dog with me. He was getting restless in the hotel. So I looked for a park to walk him in. I found Cipriani. There is a fence area to let your dog offleash. It's the biggest I've ever found. My dog was loving it! He played with other dogs and ran his backside off. He slept like a log when we got back to the hotel. Great place to bring your dog. Our to just sit and relax

There is a large and small dog park, both medium size. The surface is crushed stone (good for conditioning your dog's feet, and keeping nails short). See my note regarding the porta potty. People also exercise their dogs on the adjacent ball field. It's apparently rarely enforced, but it's not legal, and you can get a ticket. For some strange reason, the dogs seem to like to eat the dirt on the field. My guess is that it's the fertilizer. Looking at the field, I'm not sure why they bother fertilizing it!

Great local park. Love the amopunt of water fountains, bowls for dogs as well as shaded benches. Missing a bit of greenery and a bit of guidance how to get there. Overall a solid 5.

Used to love this place but crazy how one untrained, unleashed, uncontrollable dog/dog owner can ruin and traumatize us. His dog bit my arm and luckily left no mark but some scratches. Its still a nice dog park just probably need extra more caution for smaller dogs.
