Jake and the rest of the staff are always great. They need a more reliable bug company though ( my bearded dragons asked me to include that) I've stocked my African tank, saltwater, goldfish, and community tank with their livestock, and I've never had any issues with quality.

Ricks fish and pet supplies is hands-down one of the best pet stores in Maryland. I just found out about this beautiful pet store. They have everything from birds to reptiles crazy toads, ferrets rabbits axolotl’s, and so many different types of fish. Meghan really helped me and my son pick out his new pet. My son was debating between an axolotl and a bearded dragon She was super friendly, super patient with my son and really told him everything he would need for an axolotl. We left the store thought about what we were going to get. We then decided we were going to get a bearded dragon. I called Rick pet store asked to speak with Meghan super helpful over the Told her I was on my way up because it took me a little while to get up there going from Montgomery County to Frederick County. She stopped her lunch break just to come Myself and my! She was super helpful with what our new pet needed for food how to take care of him. They don’t try to upsell you like a lot of corporate pet stores. I 100% will be making the drive from Montgomery county to Frederick County To buy anything our pets need You could even come here and bring your kids “for a cool field trip”

We visited Rick's on a Sunday afternoon so that our small children could see the animals and fish. They had a large selection of fish and animals. The Rick and the other staff members were welcoming and helpful. We will definitely return and also purchase future fish tank supplies from Rick's Fish & Pet Supply Store. Thanks for the great experience!

If I could give zero stars today I would. They have great products but horrible customer service to African American customers. My family and I drove an hour to come to this location. Just to be disrespected and treated poorly. Usually I have no issues when coming here. But today December 31st 2024 at about 3:15 pm. The young skinny Caucasian man working was very rude and other customers in store decided to jump in on the rude conversation while at the register. I've been here many times and never been treated this way. Very disappointed in the disrespect and different treatment of me the only African American customer in the store at this time. Managers and owners need to teach their employees some more customer service skills.

I don't know much about fish but you don't have to when the store you go to has employees that are helpful and knowledgeable. You just need to ask questions. It takes 45 minutes to drive here from our house and it's worth it to go here rather than PetSmart or one of the other large stores who are understaffed and overpriced. Like some of the other reviews said it is true that the store could use some tidying up. But that becomes easily overlooked thanks to the good service provided by the employees. Not to mention there is a huge selection of fish. If you can't find when you're looking for they can probably get it for you. Definitely worth the drive. Riding the
