I am extremely disappointed in how the service was handled this morning. While I completely understand the need for Petco to protect its workers and adjust operations during weather events and boil water advisories, today’s situation could have been handled differently. Given that the snowfall overnight was minimal, we expected our dog’s grooming appointment to proceed as planned. I would have understood if the appointment had been canceled or delayed, had the situation been properly communicated. However, we received no notification of any changes. After driving through the snow with our anxious dog, only to find a note on the door and no prior notice in our inbox, we were left in a very difficult position. This is particularly inconvenient because our dog can only be brought in on weekends, and now we’re unsure when we’ll be able to reschedule his grooming. I fully acknowledge the need to protect your workers, but this lack of communication is unacceptable. It’s not just an inconvenience for us, but likely for many other clients as well. Please take this feedback seriously and improve your communication going forward, both to avoid frustration and to protect your reputation.

Wanted to give Joy a shout-out for doing such a great grooming job on my dog! I just moved here and I went in knowing my dogs more on the difficult side when it comes to getting him groomed. Joy did a fantastic job and was just all around so nice! Thank you so much!

Came in for our third grooming appointment with Catherine who’s very professional and does an amazing job grooming my Shipoo. He always looks sharp and smells so good when I pick him up. He’s usually very opposed to anyone touching his paws but Cat always manages to keep him calm enough for a buffing which I appreciate so so much!!! Thank you Cat!!! - Louie & Rae

What a horrible horrible grooming this person name Cat did on our beautiful sweet poodle.I have no clue if it was a racial thing being we are black Americans or she simply doesn't know what the heck she is doing.I just want to scream or cry when I look at my once fluffy white poodle.And even one of the employees commented to my wife when we returned a little later with our concerns saying yeah he's cut way too short,his tail was cut completely off like a jack Russell.Although we were given a full refund our beloved fur baby has to go several months now looking scabby with a very low uneven cut.Seeing clear to his pink skin.You can't imagine how I feel.I believe she deserves to be fired after such a horrible job.If you care about your pets grooming especially any kind of poodle I highly suggest you make sure "Cat" goes nowhere near your dog.You will thank me later.

I've been going to Barker Field for 17 years. It's maintained by dog park users, not by the city. It's not fancy, but I like it.
