Omars Exotic Birds

I’ve been going to Omar’s since they were in Cypress. Their new location is the smallest so far. I’m a little worried since they’ve been there since September and still don’t have a sign on the building. Hopefully, it’s just trying to get it done through the city. They only had a few birds and food and toys were paired down from their old location. I wish them the best of luck and hope there around for a while.

Really nice staff, educated & patient. Birds are amazing! Took my daughter there to look for a buddy to bring home for her parakeet & she quickly fell in love with multiple birds. The cutest thing ever was how demanding some of the birds could be, guiding your hand close to them so that they could step up. Enjoyed our visit. I was also presently surprised by the cleanliness, it smelled fresh & was well kept.

Don't buy here! Our bird died just five months after getting her. From the first week, we mentioned that something was wrong with her, and they kept saying we had to take her to a specific vet, but this vet charged a lot of money. We mentioned our concerns multiple times. I'm sure they knew there was something wrong with our bird, and not once did they offer us the option to return her or suggest a specific vet who could see her at no cost. Now we are stuck with the loss of our poor bird and are in debt with a $1,500 vet bill, along with the $1,000 it cost us to buy her, not to mention everything else we bought for her.

My favorite parrot place in the Los Angeles county. It’s just the place to be, even if (or especially if) you’re just browsing. They always have 5-9 large parrots just hanging around and you can interact with them. The staff are usually very friendly and knowledgeable. A con is that they are quite expensive even when compared to other parrot places around.

They are very professional and really do care about your bird. My cockatiel is now 2.5 years old and very healthy.
