Omar's Exotic Birds

We love this place and we have purchased a cockatiel from here. It’s great to be able to interact with the birds before you take one home. But even if you aren’t looking to take a bird home, this place is still so fun to visit! This little yellow parrot got so comfy in our hands that he decided to take a nap! 💤💛

Everyone is very helpful. Very very friendly. Lots of beautiful birds. They sale mostly new exotic birds that are just fantastic. They also sale everything you could need. We have several parrots from them. Often we come in just to see the new birds. Did I say they provide food for almost every bird. Thought I would add more pictures of their great selection of bird food They have a bin system off almost every seed combination for most of the popular bird species. And there are seeds for customers to add or mix on their own. They do have 25 lb bags also. And before I forget to mention, they also have boarding services if you need someone to care for your birds if you need to travel etc. Omar’s have been around for a long time. They really know what they are doing. And if your bird needs a claw and beak trim, they do that too.

This review is mainly about an older woman who works here. Don’t comment on my bird’s health just because she “looks” fat (FYI: she’s pretty lean & in good health based on the most recent avian vet visit, but I guess you know better than the vet?). I tell you how much she weighs, then you tell me “I don’t care how much she weighs, she’s fat,” then a minute later you tell me she should lose weight and I should weigh her daily… Make it make sense, please? All this nonsense coming from a store that feeds their birds nothing but mountains of seeds and millet daily (which by the way is NOT good for your birds and WILL lead to health issues such as liver disease and obesity). If you’re going to give me subtle rudeness and unsolicited advice, then AT LEAST take care of your own birds better in your store.

This store is amazing! I loved getting to interact with the birds. I was so tempted to bring one home but I already have several cockatiels of my own. Their toy selection was amazing so I got some for my flock at home. 10/10 if you love birds and need a place for quality care of exotics!

Edit: Such an amazing place. This is where I got my little buddy Phoebe since he was 3 months old and now 2 years old along with his 2 other friends who are from the same place. Great avian pet store if you're planning on getting a bird but HEADS UP! (Pet birds are high maintenance) consider getting one of these birdies if you’ve done good research about them😊) Something that I loved the most was when I got my cockatiels, they prepared us with a bag of goodies and seeds for your little one and a helpful paper that provides you info on how to properly take care of your birdie❤️
