I have attached an image of what the owner claims is a beloved pet of the store he would not trade for anything less than a new car. There is no water in this pet's bowl, and the cage is clearly dirty and uncleaned. There were other snakes in their cages that did not have water bowls. The owner was quick to get aggressive when confronted with these conditions. I bought a snake from here anyway, and when it died within a week, the owner was quick to blame me. He said that the 10 minute transport to my home killed the snake, and it was my fault. He was unprofessional at best. He said the snake was "moving" when he gave it to me, and that was a hallmark of it's good health. I would like to mention he gave it to me via spare, used cardboard box he threw the snake into. He then blamed me for not taking it to a vet immediately (ignoring what the vet bills would have cost) and began to lie about how the employee I spoke to on the phone offered to negotiate a fair refund. After insisting that something be done, he offered me half of the snake's selling price in store credit. While the reptile's conditions are poor, the mice and rabbits also seemed to lack water constantly in the two times I have visited. Not offering your animals water is neglect. While this may be a good fish store, many other animals are suffering under their care. I do not and would not support this business at all. I came in expecting a local business dedicated to their animals, and found something else.

Fish Nook Pet Center Introduce

For local pet owners in Acton, Massachusetts, and the surrounding areas, Fish Nook Pet Center, located at 266 Great Rd, Acton, MA 01720, USA, presents itself as a potential destination for pet-related needs. Operating under the platform category of "Pet Store Near Me," the establishment can be reached at phone number (978) 263-9370 or mobile phone +1 978-263-9370.

Based on available information, including customer reviews, a comprehensive understanding of Fish Nook Pet Center's environment, services, and features is crucial for prospective customers. While the store's name suggests a focus on aquatic life, it appears to cater to a broader range of animals, including reptiles and small mammals.

Several customer reviews paint a concerning picture regarding the living conditions of some animals within the store. One reviewer recounts observing a snake without water in a dirty enclosure, and other snakes in similar conditions. This individual also alleges aggressive behavior from the owner when these conditions were brought to his attention. Furthermore, this reviewer details a negative experience following the purchase of a snake that died within a week, claiming the owner was unprofessional and blamed the customer for the animal's demise, offering only half the purchase price as store credit.

Another review echoes these concerns, stating that mice and rabbits appeared to consistently lack water during two separate visits. This customer explicitly labels the lack of water as neglect and expresses a lack of support for the business due to the perceived suffering of the animals. The reviewer contrasts their expectation of a dedicated local business with their observed reality.

Adding to these negative accounts, a third review from someone with past positive memories of the store expresses shock at its apparent decline. This reviewer describes algae-ridden fish tanks with dead fish, small cages housing rodents desperately seeking water and escape, and a boarded rabbit that appeared unwell. This individual strongly advises others to shop elsewhere.

It is important for potential customers to consider these firsthand accounts when evaluating Fish Nook Pet Center. The reviews raise serious questions about the standards of animal care within the facility, particularly concerning the provision of basic necessities like clean water and adequate living space for reptiles and small mammals. The cleanliness of enclosures, especially for fish, is also a point of concern raised by multiple reviewers.

While the store's name includes "Fish," suggesting a potential strength in this area, even the fishkeeping aspect has come under scrutiny in recent reviews, with descriptions of dirty tanks and deceased fish. This indicates that the quality of care might be a general issue rather than isolated to specific types of animals.

The reviews do not provide specific details about the range of products offered for sale, beyond the animals themselves. It is reasonable to assume that a pet store would typically stock food, accessories, and potentially other supplies relevant to the animals they house. However, the primary focus of the available feedback is on the welfare of the animals rather than the retail offerings.

Similarly, information regarding specific services, such as grooming or veterinary care partnerships, is absent from the provided reviews. One reviewer mentions boarding a rabbit, suggesting that this service may have been offered at some point. However, the negative experience associated with this boarding raises concerns about the quality of such services.

Promotional information is not included in the provided text. Therefore, local users seeking deals or special offers from Fish Nook Pet Center will need to look for other sources of information, such as the store's website (if available) or direct inquiries via phone.

In conclusion, based on the available customer feedback, prospective local users considering Fish Nook Pet Center should be aware of the serious concerns raised regarding animal welfare and the overall condition of the store. The recurring themes of inadequate water provision, dirty enclosures, and deceased animals, coupled with allegations of unprofessional and aggressive behavior from the owner, warrant careful consideration before engaging with this business. While the store operates under the "Pet Store Near Me" category, the negative experiences shared by multiple customers suggest that further investigation or alternative options might be prudent for those seeking a local pet store that prioritizes the health and well-being of its animals.

My partner and I visited yesterday for old time sake. Boy was I shocked at the downfall of this place. I remember it well- I bought my guinea pig when I was a kiddo there. Yesterday, I was absolutely sickened by the disgusting fish tanks that were growing algae on the sides and the dead fish that scattered the bottom of a lot of the tanks. The rodents were stuck in tiny cages and were desperately trying to climb out or access water. Someone trusted their dear rabbit to board at this facility and even he looked checked out. I wouldn't give this shop a red cent. Shop elsewhere!!!!!!

Amazing place! Way better than pet “smart” and petco. I got my beta fish here and it lasted way longer then one from petco!

Had a huge emergency today and Sean was able to get his employees over to open where they were able to help with my dilemma. The fish and water at this place are great! Highly recommend it for your fish needs. VERY helpful when in a bind, great service from the guy Sean sent to help! We left our baby bottle in the shop and he shot me a text! Complete lifesaver because she has special bottles. Thanks again!
