10/10 recommend Dr. Allen, she is always so kind, informative and honest about what’s best for our dog! I feel confident bringing our rescue here because they are patient while he takes time to warm up and they want what’s best. They also refer out if they know a better option for your pup, showing they aren’t just about the money like some vets!

I have used VAC for many years now - including when they were at their previous location. All of the doctors I have encountered at VAC have been excellent with all of my pets - present and past. They are on the high side for some procedures, but I have found that with vet care, you generally get what you pay for. What is important is they do excellent work with surgeries, they collaborate well with previous and other vets that had to be used when travelling out of town, and they have always been friendly, professional, and curteous.

My husband and I went to Valrico Animal Clinic on 9/29/23, totally expecting to have to put our beloved 15-year-old Sarge to sleep in order to relieve his pain. Both of us were immensely devastated, as we have raised him since he was a puppy rescued from NC. We spoke all night and decided we wanted the vet to do whatever was needed to help us make the right choice, no matter the cost, to ensure it was his time and get additional advice. We have trusted them with Sarge's annual exams for several years. The kindest vet tech carried our 47-pound "baby" of ours to the back for some new x-rays. The vet came in and, as usual, got right down on the floor with Sarge to examine him thoroughly with great care. Afterwards, she went over his x-rays in tremendous detail, from how healthy his heart looked to exactly where his pain was targeted. Not once did we feel rushed; no question went unanswered, and we were offered great suggestions for his care. Every single thing we had been doing was on point; he just needed some medication to relieve his bad back. It was such a huge relief to hear that Sarge's pain could easily be managed, and even at the ripe old age of 15 (over 100 in human years), he was still in excellent health in every other way, minus his back arthritis and mild hip arthritis. I'm so glad that we have trusted Valrico Animal Clinic with the health of Sarge for the past several years. I simply cannot convey how grateful we are to have access to such an amazing staff of loving, caring individuals. I want to thank every single person at Valrico Animal Clinic, from the front staff, the techs, the veterinarian, and all the other people I'm sure we don't see. Every single person who works there makes a difference, not only to us humans but also to the animals that own them. Yes, you read that last part right. Sarge's kitty companions are also thrilled.

It's the small things that bother me. I've taken all three of my Maltese puppies for the full array of shots and check ups, as well as a neutering. Overall the experience was fine, but they seemed to be a little on the expensive side. Recently, they called to say one of my puppies tested positive for Giardia and needed a prescription. I spend my time between Brandon and Brooksville, a 70 mile drive, so I asked if they could send the prescription to cheewy; they replied-- "We don't work with outside pharmacies." So I asked if I could have the prescription emailed to me directly so I could send it myself. The man on the line nervously said he would call me right back. About a half hour later he called back to say that we had to get it directly from Valrico Animal Clinic because Chewy only had it in compounded form. Let's be honest here-- the compounded form would have worked just as well, you don't work with outside pharmacies because you want to consume every penny of demand for animal Healthcare services you can, you made me wait half an hour to call back because you needed time to scrambled and find any excuse not to give me the prescription directly, you forced me to wait until I had time to make the 70 mile drive to come get the medication, and you charged me $25 for something I could have gotten for 4$. My dog had to wait to have her clothes ndition treated. I've already happily spent a couple thousand dollars with you guys; WASTING MY TIME so you can squeez an extra $25 out of me is UNACCEPTABLE.
