- Agility Obstacles: Within the fenced areas, dogs can enjoy various obstacles, providing mental stimulation and physical challenges.
- Water Fountains (Seasonal): Water fountains are available, though they are winterized during colder months, so owners should be prepared to bring their own water during those times.
- Benches and Seating: Numerous benches are placed throughout the dog park and the larger park grounds, offering comfortable resting spots for human companions.
- Trash Bins: Conveniently located trash receptacles are available for easy disposal of dog waste and other litter, promoting a clean environment.

- Community of Responsible Owners: A notable "service" is the welcoming community of responsible dog owners, fostering positive interactions and a safe play environment.
Features / Highlights:
- Separate Large and Small Dog Parks: This is arguably the standout feature. The park's design includes two distinct, "massive" fenced areas – one dedicated to small dogs and another for large dogs. This thoughtful separation ensures safety and comfort for all canines, allowing smaller breeds to play freely without intimidation and larger breeds to engage in more vigorous play without concern for smaller companions.
- Expansive Play Areas: Both the small and large dog sections are described as "massive," providing ample space for dogs to run, sprint, and play extensive games of fetch. This vast open area is a significant highlight, especially for energetic dogs.
- Agility and Play Obstacles: The presence of "obstacles" within the fenced areas adds an extra layer of fun and challenge for dogs. These features encourage agility, problem-solving, and a more engaging playtime experience.
- Integrated within a Larger Park: The dog park is part of the beautiful Charles E. Price Memorial Park, which offers additional amenities like "a kids playground, big pavilions, benches, pond & lots of open space!" This makes it a perfect destination for families, allowing different members to enjoy various activities simultaneously.
- Positive Community Vibe: Customer reviews consistently praise the "responsible" dog owners and how "dogs play well together." This indicates a strong, positive community atmosphere, which is a major highlight for those seeking a safe and friendly environment for their dog's socialization.
- Free Access: A significant highlight is that it's "The best Free dog park" in the state, offering high-quality amenities without any cost to visitors.
- Paved Walking Trails: The larger park features paved walking trails, providing additional opportunities for exercise for both dogs (on leash outside the dog park area) and humans.
- Wheelchair Accessibility: The entire Charles E. Price Memorial Park, including areas around the dog park, is wheelchair accessible, making it inclusive for all visitors.
As a public amenity, Charles E. Price Memorial Park Dog Park proudly offers the most appealing "promotion" of all: free admission for all dogs and their owners! Unlike many private or commercial dog parks that charge membership fees or daily rates, this park provides full access to its exceptional facilities at no cost. This makes it an incredibly valuable resource for Delaware residents, ensuring that top-tier canine recreation is accessible to everyone. While there aren't traditional "special offers" in the retail sense, the park's consistent upkeep, the provision of separate play areas, and the inclusion of agility obstacles can be seen as continuous value-added features that enhance the free experience. Any specific "promotions" would likely be in the form of community-organized events, such as pet adoption drives, dog training workshops, or seasonal gatherings hosted by local animal welfare groups or the Town of Middletown's Parks & Recreation Department. We recommend checking the official Town of Middletown website or local community social media groups for announcements on such events, as they provide fantastic opportunities to engage further with the local dog community and take advantage of additional resources.

Jun 01, 2025 · Troy DennisBig beautiful dog park! Has several fenced in areas with obstacles. It has a kids playground, big pavilions, benches, pond & lots of open space!
May 13, 2025 · Bunk ShanerFriendly dogs, and friendly neighbors. Lots of room to run. We'll cared for. Pavilions, playgrounds, pond, walking trail. Nice and peaceful. Very thankful that Middletown prioritized this park. Relax, exercise, enjoy.
May 15, 2025 · Ryan HellerFirst time here and it is massive. Beautifully fenced in grass area for dogs to run or even take a walk around. So much room you can move away from other dogs if you wanted. It’s CLEAN, seems like people clean up after their dogs. Benches along the way to sit. The dogs we encountered were well trained with owners watching their dogs and correcting behavior if needed. Great area for practicing long range recall/training, fetch, and agility. This will be our new spot to go every week.
Feb 14, 2024 · Kristen AriasWell maintained and absolutely huge! Our dog sometimes gets overwhelmed if there are a lot of new dogs, so being able to give herself space when she needs it is important. This park is perfect for that. Everyone we met was incredibly friendly too.
