Lovely dog park. Nice and big, lots of grass. Tons of room for dogs to run. Lots of places for humans to sit. Unfortunately, the entire fence that borders on the wooded area is about 75% poison ivy. If I lived here, I would kill it. As it is, we’ll come back in the winter, but not summertime. I’m very allergic to that stuff.

-
Ample Seating for Humans: The park provides "lots of places for humans to sit." This is a highly valued service, allowing owners to comfortably relax, observe their dogs, and socialize with other pet parents.
-
Restroom Facilities: The presence of "bathroom facilities" is an important service, providing convenience for human visitors. While a review noted they "need some love" and were "a little dirty and run down" in early spring, their availability is a benefit.
-
Waste Management: Although not explicitly detailed in the provided text, a well-maintained dog park typically provides waste bags and disposal bins to promote cleanliness. The general positive sentiment about the park suggests that these essential services are likely available to support responsible pet ownership.
Bell Branch Dog Park is celebrated for its distinctive features and highlights that contribute significantly to its appeal among Maryland dog owners.
-
Expansive Running Room: A significant highlight is the park's immense size, offering "tons of room for dogs to run." -
Dual Field Types: The availability of both "lots of grass" and "beautiful turf fields" is a unique highlight. Seasonal Appeal (with caveat): While one review notes the presence of "poison ivy" bordering the wooded area in summer, making it less ideal for some during that season, the implication is that the park remains a fantastic option during other times of the year, particularly winter when the allergen is less of a concern. This suggests year-round potential for enjoyment.
As a public facility managed by Anne Arundel County, Bell Branch Dog Park typically does not offer direct commercial promotions or special offers in the traditional retail sense. Its inherent "promotion" is the free and open access it provides to a high-quality, spacious environment for canine recreation for all residents of Maryland.
However, local pet-oriented businesses in Gambrills and the wider Anne Arundel County area may occasionally collaborate with local community groups or the County's Recreation and Parks department to offer promotions that align with dog park visits. This could include discounts on pet supplies from nearby stores, special offers from local groomers, or introductory rates from dog trainers who might hold informal meetups or workshops at or near the park. Staying updated with local Gambrills community associations, the Anne Arundel County Recreation and Parks official website, or pet-focused social media groups would be the best way to learn about any such events or complementary promotions. These opportunities, while not directly from the park itself, can certainly enhance the overall experience of being part of the local dog-owning community.

May 30, 2025 · Chad MorganVery nice park. The turf fields are beautiful. The grass fields were just ok in early spring. The bathroom facilities need some love. A little dirty and run down.
Apr 07, 2025 · Brad NeskeGreat dog park. There's a small dog and a large dog park. The small dog park is about a third of the size. The large dog park has several benches and a few trees and some shaded areas. There is also a shelter with a bench. Overall, both parks are great. The water access is a huge bonus on hot days.
Jul 16, 2023 · Fredy AlbertoPeople and dogs are friendly. The park is a decent size and there is a good amount of grass, some trees and places to sit. It would be nice if there were more poop bag dispensers in other parts of the dog park but they are all located by the front t gate. I think this may prevent people from picking up poop if it’s at the far end of the park. Overall I would give it three and a half stars.
Nov 29, 2024 · Amy EricksonPretty good sized park! I've been to bigger parks in the past but this one is plenty large! Only 4* because there are a lot of spots that could use some gardening, aka dirt instead of grass. And there was one lady there with a puppy that was being aggressive towards almost every other dog there, and she wouldn't take the hint and leave despite having to pull her dog off other dogs MULTIPLE times. And there's no one there to report to
