Welcome to Edgewater Dog Park
For dog owners across Maryland, particularly those residing in Edgewater and the surrounding communities of Anne Arundel County, finding a truly exceptional space for their beloved canine companions to run, play, and socialize is a top priority. The Edgewater Dog Park stands out as a highly regarded and well-utilized community gem, offering a fantastic environment where dogs can truly thrive off-leash. It's a testament to thoughtful park design and consistent maintenance, making it a favorite for many local pet parents.
What truly sets Edgewater Dog Park apart is its impressive layout and amenities. Unlike many dog parks that offer just one or two sections, this park boasts three large, gated areas, thoughtfully designed to cater to different needs: one designated for small breeds and two ample spaces for larger breeds. This separation is a crucial feature, ensuring a comfortable and safe environment for dogs of all sizes and temperaments. Owners can rest assured that their smaller pups won't be overwhelmed by larger, more boisterous play, while big dogs have plenty of room to sprint and wrestle without inhibition.
Visitors consistently praise the park's cleanliness and excellent upkeep, a clear indicator of the dedication to providing a pleasant experience for everyone. The presence of fresh water, a well-stocked poop station, and even communal tennis balls adds to the convenience and enjoyment. While the occasional disappearance of water bowls and jugs might require a quick call to the county, it's a minor consideration given the overall high quality of the park. Edgewater Dog Park offers a truly wonderful experience for furry family members, making it an indispensable resource for the local Maryland dog community.

As a public dog park managed by Anne Arundel County, Edgewater Dog Park does not offer commercial promotions or special offers in the traditional retail sense. Its inherent "special offer" is the provision of a free, high-quality, and well-maintained outdoor space for canine recreation. There are no fees for entry, memberships, or passes required to utilize this valuable community amenity.
However, the value it provides to the Edgewater and wider Anne Arundel County community is significant, contributing to pet health, owner well-being, and local connections. Anne Arundel County's Department of Recreation and Parks, or local animal welfare organizations, may occasionally host or support community events at public parks, which could include dog-focused activities, responsible pet ownership clinics, or park clean-up days. Dog owners in Maryland are encouraged to check the official Anne Arundel County Parks and Recreation website or local Edgewater community calendars and social media groups for information on any such public events or initiatives that might take place at Edgewater Dog Park.
For inquiries regarding the Edgewater Dog Park, as it is a public amenity managed by Anne Arundel County, direct contact information specifically for the dog park itself is typically not provided. However, general inquiries or concerns related to park maintenance, rules, or operations would be directed to Anne Arundel County's Department of Recreation and Parks.

Nov 09, 2024 · michael pruittGreat dog park! Very clean and very well maintained. There are three large gated areas, one for small breeds and two for large breeds. I was pleasantly surprised at how nice this park is for our fur babies. There were new tennis balls provided, poop stations and a water well for fresh water. The only downside is that there are no restrooms, but there is a gas station around the corner (that's a quick drive).
Jun 08, 2018 · D HI took my puppy here for the first time this week and was so impressed by the size of the park. I love that they have two large dog areas and that they have benches and chairs to sit on. All of the people there were very friendly!
Oct 09, 2022 · Brittney SpikerWhat a great dog park! It is large and shady. The people are lovely too. All total, a great place!
Jul 04, 2024 · Wendy NilsenThe large dog area is separated into two nice long open runs. There are plenty of shady areas even at midday There is also a fresh water station available outside the runs. Unfortunately whomever the genius was that designed the park paved the parking area and run entrances with asphalt, so it will be too hot for the dogs in the summer. Someone should paint the asphalt white ASAP.
