Petco

I had an easy experience when I had to return a kennel and cushion that were too small for our new rescue dog. Also had extra help finding a size in a particular harness. I needed to exchange that as well; also very simple. I’ll be taking her to an individual training session next week. I can’t speak for all Petco stores, but this one is excellent.

It really feels like Petco has always been there. I'm sure it hasn't, but it feels like it has. I've been in Burbank for decades, and anything I've ever needed for my pets, has always come from Petco. It's true, we have Amazon subscriptions now, and we can get a few things from there more conveniently, but it's usually the same price as Petco, so I'd rather get it locally as often as possible. Anytime I call, they always pick up the phone, they're always friendly and they almost always have exactly what I need. It's a great place, very clean and neat and organized. The staff are always friendly and helpful. The bathrooms are clean and accessible. Their pet food is always fresh and they get weekly deliveries. It's a great pet place.

The cashier gentleman was super friendly! The line for check out was extremely long, but he remained stress free and efficient. I can usually find anything I’m looking for here, and if I have rewards I just earned or coming up, they tell me. I love that!

Been shopping at this store since it opened.. Never had a problem until today. If you get your dog groomed here, find somewhere else. The groomers are scared of dogs. Yes my dog is a Rottweiler, but she is not aggressive at all.. She doesn't like being picked up. She whines.. She also has had 13k in back leg surgeries. So when we asked if she would have to be on a table, for a simple bath, we were told that yes she would, which the manager confirmed was a lie. We asked that she not be allowed to jump down off the table, and they flat out refused to bathe her, knowing that they wouldn't even have to put her on a table for the service requested.. They were scared of my dog, even after seeing her be friendly to other customers.. That and the 2 groomers we dealt with, wouldn't even have been able to lift my 95 pound dog anyway.. To make matters worse, she has been groomed there several times before.. Flat out, find another groomer, support small businesses and mobile groomers, even if it costs a bit more.. So disappointing, I will be finding a new place to buy my pet supplies and for grooming.

IF YOU LOVE YOUR PET, THINK TWICE BEFORE COMING HERE I booked a vaccine appointment for my dog about a week in advance. On the day of the appointment, I got a message in the morning saying the doctor was sick and the clinic was closed — even though it completely messed up my plans, I was understanding. Later I rescheduled for the next day. We arrived 10 minutes early, as required. A lady at the front desk asked a few questions about my dog, took his temperature, and led us into the room, saying the vet would come shortly. We ended up waiting 40 minutes because they had other clients. I honestly don’t understand the point of booking a specific time online if you’re still going to be left waiting that long — especially when your pet is stressed and waiting only makes things worse. After I went out and said we couldn’t wait any longer and that my dog was getting anxious, the vet came in 5 minutes later. A short dark-haired man. I told him I had a few questions before we start, because we had a very bad experience before — my dog was given the wrong vaccine and we had to literally save his life. The doctor didn’t really pay attention to what I was saying or showing him. He didn’t seem to care. I honestly couldn’t tell if he didn’t speak English well or just didn’t understand what I was talking about. The only thing he said was “oh, your dog is 8 years old,” even though I was talking about serious concerns at that moment. He came off as completely unprofessional and couldn’t answer a single question. I even had to ask him if he understood me at all. I told him we weren’t ready to do the vaccination there and he just said “okay” and left. Really strange attitude and a total lack of professionalism.
