Petco

The adoption center at this Petco is wonderful; it's the best aspect by far, and it's even better than those in other pet supply stores. However, during my three visits, the staff has been consistently rude, unhelpful, or both. When I inquired about the location of an item, I was directed to the wrong place, waited for five minutes, while an employee working an understaffed area helped a customer. Then, the employee he referred me to seemed extremely annoyed to be asked to do his job. This same employee also wrongly accused me of attempting to defraud the store when I pointed out an error on my receipt; items advertised as BOGO 50%-off were charged at full price. Despite clear signage, he denied they were wrong, even making the suggestion that Idid get the sale price. Another associate pointed out his mistake. I am editing my rating to 4 stars simply because of how cool the adoption area is. No cages, you can go in and just meet the cats in their chill space which is hooked up with cat trees and toys as well as comfy chairs to kick back in while you get to know your future furbabyI love this, I always get sad when I see the cats in cages at other rescue/ adoption locations. 🥰😻😭

I picked Petco because i come here for all my petcare needs and i trust you guys and i trusted you with my dog. I looked online and scheduled the appointment which looked great. She only needed a bath her ears cleaned and her nails cut, I figured easy enough. The staff was very nice and she was happy to be there, I explained to them I wanted to make sure her wrinkles were clean since that is mostly where the dirt hides, the gentleman was very nice and told me she was good, it was his only dog for the day and would get a good bath with a great face washing. Everything was great but once I got home I noticed her face looked dirty still, so I got some baby wipes and started wiping her face and ears, and they were as dirty as when she went. I was hoping Petco would be my go to place to take my bulldogs but now I will find somewhere else.

If I could give 0 stars I would. NOT ONLY was I cancelled on TWICE (and were rude over the phone) for my dogs grooming, but when they FINALLY rescheduled me for today I showed up ON TIME. My groomed was LATE to begin with, so already had impression. I was EXTREMELY specific about how I wanted his hair cut. He gets regular “teddy bear” cuts at another Petco but they didn’t have availability. I asked for HIS REGULAR HAIR TRIM JUST A BIT SHORTER NOT SHAVED. I even specified the length using the hair models the provided. What I got was my dog who looks nothing like himself. LITERALLY GAVE him to me looking like a RAT NOT LIKE MY DOG. I honestly feel like they did this to him out of anger for me not having to pay because THEY cancelled on me twice. The lack of unprofessionalism and borderline retaliation was so foul and uncalled for and they should not be allowed to operate a grooming business. You mean to tell me you would want your dog to come out of his grooming looking like a RAT!??!!?! And they still had the audacity to ask if his haircut was what I wanted! I had no actual words for and had no choice but to leave. Horrible horrible horrible haircut never coming back and don’t bring your dog here they will leave his hair so short that it irritates his skin and leaves it red . FIRST THREE ARE HOW I REQUESTED HIS HAIR BE CUT LIKE NORMAL AND THE REST ARE WHAT I GOT.

The Vetco vaccination appointment at Petco was great. The vet and her assistant were friendly and professional. My dog is timid but after a minute with them she was so comfortable. The cost of the clinic has increased significantly but it’s still less than a visit to my regular vet.

Took my puppy Dalmatian for her first set of shots and was convinced to pay $299 for a whole package. Scheduled her second visit online and when I get there my puppy is so nervous she throws up and they refuse to see her. Everyone there was so rude and unprofessional. They told me I would need to reschedule but that if it happened again they still wouldn’t give her the vaccines. This is a pet store I’m sure they’ve seen nervous pets before. The whole package feels like a scam. If the shots aren’t done within a certain period then I have to pay for the boosters all over again! I would not recommend their vet services. I will be calling corporate for my refund and taking my puppy somewhere else.
