Vet staff are friendly and it’s easier to get a last-minute appointment than at our regular vet. The bad: sometimes the hours are inconsistent with what’s posted here, opening an hour later or closing an hour earlier. The layout is terrible if you want to bring your dog - the main aisle has freestanding displays right in the middle that make it impossible to walk a large dog next to your cart. And grooming - well about a year ago we had an experience with a very rude member of the grooming staff and because of that we now do all our grooming at home.
Mar 24, 2025 · JenniferWe booked a grooming appointment on March 5th for my dog to be groomed on 3/14 @ 3:15pm. We received a text on 3/11 asking me to confirm the appointment which we did. This morning, we got a text saying “we’re looking forward to seeing you for your appointment at 3:15pm!” We get a text at 2:50pm saying “please call us regarding your appointment”- was pulling into the parking lot by that time so just went inside. Was told “disregard the message” and was told the groomer was running behind. Checked the dog in, and the groomer there said it would be 3-4 hours, which was weird because it never takes more than 2 hours. Confirmed that our dog would be serviced at the time promised (at this point it was 3:30 so they were already behind checking my dog in). Was assured they would groom my dog as promised. 2 hours later, we get a call to pick the dog up, and are notified that nothing we scheduled for was done other than the bathing (which we can do at home). Why weren’t we told the truth when we first brought her in? Drove 1hr and 30 min assuming we’d get our dog serviced because we booked the appointment more than 1 week in advance. There were multiple chances to tell us what truly was going on (they double booked as one of the groomers is not there) so we could’ve just taken our dog home instead of someone keeping her in a kennel terrified for 2 hours just for someone to bathe her. Not only was this a huge waste of our time, they’ve scared my dog for no reason. We decided to drive this far and bring her here because we’ve had good experiences with Alyssa (which is why there’s two stars not one). It’s just baffling how a system can text us multiple times reminding us about an appointment but we can’t get a courtesy call about their double booking mistake until 20 minutes before my dogs appointment. I’m extremely disappointed in the way management handled this situation (didn’t have much to say other than an apology and offering a reschedule for a free cut while wasting 5 hours of our time and of course we’d have to drive an hour and half again, wait 2 hours then drive home, and who’s to say she’ll be properly serviced then?) and will no longer be purchasing anything from any petco or using their services. All of this could’ve been handled in a much more efficient way, and it seems like their management needs to be more involved in operations or someone needs to audit their system to ensure this doesn’t happen again.

The staff would also be plenty friendly and would seem to be always willing to help customers out. Do consider stopping by, especially if you would have some fur babies to spoil!
