You know, with this place, it should be an option of 0 stars or even minus 5 stars... I know some people like this place... But their customer service is bad... Prices ridiculous... I bought a Betta that I've never seen before ($110.00) I know that's a lot of money for Betta, but it was pretty nice... When I got home, I noticed it had bumps on one side, so I went back, and the owners excuse was that 'Have you tested your water? Because you know, you are going from our perfect water to your tank.' I didn't even take the fish out of the bag you gave me in case you didn't notice it... He's just a bunch of excuses and never wants to accept his fault... I really recommended Rusty's Reef in Bountiful or The Water Front and Pets and Such... Those are very nice places and owners are very nice too... Their staff are very polite and knowledgeable... Prices are reasonable, no like Fish 4 you, to expensive... I wouldn't recommend this place... If the owner is rude, what can you expect from the employees...

Fish 4 U Introduce

Looking for a Pet Store Near You in Millcreek, Utah, specializing in fish? Fish 4 U is located at 4010 Highland Dr. #1. Reviews regarding this establishment present mixed perspectives on customer experience and pricing.

One customer reported a negative experience, citing bad customer service and excessively high prices. They detailed purchasing a Betta fish and upon discovering it had health issues upon arriving home, they felt the owner was dismissive and unwilling to accept responsibility. This reviewer strongly recommends other local fish stores instead.

In contrast, another customer had a very positive experience, describing the staff as knowledgeable and kind, with a great stock of fish. This reviewer, who travels from Cache Valley, makes it a point to stop at Fish 4 U when in Salt Lake City, appreciating the unique products and healthy fish available that they feel comfortable introducing to their aquariums.

The services and goods offered at Fish 4 U likely include a variety of freshwater and saltwater fish, as suggested by the positive reviewer's comments about healthy fish and unique products. These guys are the best! They’re knowledgeable, kind, and have great stock! Whenever I go to Salt Lake, I make sure I stop there. They have products I can’t get in Cache Valley, and healthy fish I feel comfortable adding to my tanks.

I bought a German Blue Ram here yesterday. It died within 24 hours. When I called to talk to the store I was told they’ve been having problems with their rams not being very hardy the last few months. I acclimated him exactly as the store told me to, he was added to a well established tank, with another ram and other fish in there. I was hoping to breed him With my electric blue female. They’ve identified a problem with their stock but they won’t tell us and they won’t do anything for a refund or store credit or anything. I’m just up shit creek on a $17 dollar fish. I won’t be buying here anymore.

We went there on 03/05/25 and purchased 4 different fish. Took them home, and 4 days later found numerous fish in our aquarium, including our 5 year old beautiful Butterfly Koi fish, were sick and had white spots on them. Despite numerous efforts to treat and clean the tank and save the fish, they ended still dieing! All of the new fish died. We went back Fish 4 U because we were told if there was a problem, we wouldn’t even need a receipt because our card would be on file, and they would take care of it. When we returned a week later, they said we had to be a Pleco expert in ordered to be refunded our money. So out of our $60-70 we only got $7.00 store credit and LOST our beautiful fish and our beautiful aquarium was wiped out!

This is an okay store that has been in the area for many many years. The staff is friendly and seemingly knowledgeable. The store itself is very dated and the fish tanks have a natural look so to speak. The vast majority look like they could use some serious tank maintenance but that is not to say that the fish are unhealthy. In many ways people are accustomed to a sparkly clean tank and that is not how things look in nature. That said, it would not get someone new to the hobby excited about having an aquarium in their house. Probably the thing that is the most memorable part of this store is the sign walking in that says no photos or video. I feel like the reason for that is what I outlined above because it just doesn’t present well.
