Aquaterratopia

I was in Crowley today and visited Aquaterratopia. This place is so cool with a variety of plants and animals, something for everyone. I was mainly interested in the African cichlids and found a couple of gems at a good price that ended up coming home with me. The saltwater fish, koi ponds, plants, and reptiles were super cool too. The staff were nice and very helpful. Excellent experience overall and definitely not just another run of the mill pet store.

One of my absolutely favorite shops!. Always new things to look at and purchase, everyone is so friendly and helpful. Best of all they do custom orders, they made a gorgeous terrarium for us. It was my wife's Christmas present and she fawns over it everyday. We love Aquaterratopia 🖤💜

Pretty cool place with lots of options. Bought some drift wood there and some rocks. Some of the drift wood is very amazing but in my opinion slightly overpriced, some prices were $800. However, it would be hard to find driftwood like it in DFW. It truly is beautiful. The fish seemed well taken care of overall. I will come back again for more things such as plants. They have exotic fish and normal fish like Betta.

10/10 The best aquatic/reptile pet store in Texas! I mostly come here to buy more plants for my bioactive terrarium and planted aquariums! If you love shrimp, they have a large variety of colors to choose from. The staff is always friendly and eager to help you! They offer the highest-quality customer service and a tranquil environment for a plant, pet, or supply shop! The pictures are of the vampire crab paludarium I built using a water fall technique the staff at Aquaterratopia showed me. The plants and the crabs are also from Aquaterratopia!

This place needs to be seized and shut down. Immediately. I went in to look at their reptile selections and can’t express how horribly they’re kept. Like another review mentioned, the enclosures were full of mold and months old caked on faeces, there were dead ones that had BEEN dead for a while, reptiles kept with other reptiles they should NOT be cohabbed with, some were starving, some were in extremely small enclosures but not a single animal there was happy or taken care of. Chameleons kept in 30gal glass enclosures and anyone with the slightest bit of knowledge on them knows they NEED to be kept in mesh enclosures that are taller than they are long, not to mention my friend went in MONTHS ago and photographed the same chameleon in the same conditions. She asked the staff why he was kept that way and they said he was a surrender and was waiting for someone to come get him but months later he’s STILL in the conditions he was in then. Molded, uneaten rats in some snake enclosures, 9ft red tails kept in 40gal with smeared, caked faeces obstructing the view into their habitats, frogs kept with toads in high humidity habitats where they’re suffocating, all the tortoises were sickly and so many habitats were just dirt and a water dish with no hides or heat at all. I’ve included pictures taken THIS WEEK, and hope to god someone can report this place and get their animals taken to places where they can be rehabbed or euthanised depending on their states of health. Very sick place.
