Paws To Claws Veterinary Care | Magnolia TX, as a Pet Hospital, likely offers a range of services to cater to the health and well-being of your pets. These generally include:
- Preventive Care: This fundamental aspect of veterinary care involves regular check-ups, vaccinations to protect against infectious diseases, and parasite prevention (such as flea, tick, and heartworm control). Personalized plans are often developed to suit the specific needs of your pet based on their age, breed, and lifestyle.
- Diagnostic Services: To accurately diagnose illnesses and injuries, pet hospitals utilize various diagnostic tools. These may include laboratory testing (blood work, urinalysis, fecal analysis), and imaging techniques like X-rays. These resources help veterinarians gain a comprehensive understanding of your pet's health status.
- Surgical Procedures: Pet hospitals typically offer a range of surgical services, from routine procedures like spaying and neutering to more complex soft tissue surgeries. The specifics of surgical capabilities can vary, but the goal is always the safety and well-being of the animal.
- Dental Care: Maintaining good oral health is crucial for pets. Services often include dental examinations, professional teeth cleaning, and treatment for dental diseases to help prevent pain and systemic health issues associated with poor dental hygiene.
- Treatment for Illnesses and Injuries: When pets get sick or injured, a pet hospital provides the necessary medical care, which can range from administering medications to providing supportive therapies.

Based on the information available, including the customer reviews, it's important to present a balanced perspective. One review praises the staff and vets for their excellent and timely service, highlighting a situation where they accommodated a pet just before closing and provided high-quality care. This positive feedback suggests a caring and responsive team dedicated to helping animals.
However, another detailed review expresses extreme disappointment with the service received, specifically mentioning Dr. Scott. This review describes an experience where the pet owner felt the veterinarian was inconsiderate, lacked empathy, and was pushy during a staple removal procedure for a dog recovering from major surgery. The reviewer recounts concerns about the handling of their nervous dog, potential discomfort caused, and a perceived lack of care for the animal's well-being and the owner's requests. This feedback raises concerns about the consistency of patient care and the communication style of at least one member of the veterinary team.
Given these contrasting experiences, it's challenging to definitively describe the "features" of Paws To Claws Veterinary Care | Magnolia TX without further information. However, we can infer that the hospital has veterinary professionals and support staff capable of providing medical care, as evidenced by both positive and negative reviews detailing medical procedures and interactions with the team.
To introduce Paws To Claws Veterinary Care | Magnolia TX to local users, we can state that this Pet Hospital in Magnolia offers a range of veterinary services for pets. While one customer review praises the excellent service and caring staff, particularly in an urgent situation, another review details a significantly negative experience, raising concerns about the approach to patient handling and communication in at least one instance.

May 11, 2025 · Michael RiosExtremely disappointed in this place, mainly with Dr. Scott. If I could give zero stars, I would. My 9 year old lab had emergency surgery, at an emergency pet hospital, for a ruptured mass which resulted in removing her spleen and part of her pancreas (so MAJOR surgery). Long story short, our dog was diagnosed with a very aggressive type of cancer. After the diagnosis, we were told not to let her do any strenuous activity, crazy movements, or run around as another mass could rupture for quite awhile. I brought her in to Paws and Claws to get her staples removed 14 days after her surgery (which was the recommended time) and told them everything the emergency hospital said/gave them all the paperwork. I also shared that my dog is extremely nervous/scared when it comes to vets. Given all that information, Dr. Scott walked into the room multiple times without even acknowledging my dog (even when my dog walked up to her) or introducing herself, she just went straight to the computer. The first thing she said to me was "it's cancer, right? Do you even know anything about this type of cancer?" and proceed to print a whole article out while telling me I needed to go home and read it (without telling me any information herself except that the life expectancy was between weeks to 3 months.) The 4th time she came into the room, she brought 2 techs with her, to remove the staples. She wanted my dog to lay down, on her back, stomach facing upward to give her the perfect angle to take out the staples. I shared that I didn't think my dog was going to like that and asked if their was another angle we could try instead while also reminding them that she isn't supposed to be exerting that much energy or making strenuous movements. Dr. Scott said any other angle was not comfortable for her so she would only do it in this angle. She did not care about my requests or that my dog is clearly in distress. She kept trying to force my dog to lay down and roll over while she was whining, kicking, and trying everything in her power to make them stop holding her down. They had their forearm over my dogs throat at one point, making it hard for her to breathe. I said multiple times that she isn't supposed to be moving like this and it's only been 14 days since her major surgery. Dr. Scott finally gave up, after traumatizing my dog and myself. You would think being a veterinarian, you would care about the health and safety of the animal you're dealing with but that is absolutely not the case with Dr. Scott. We ended up taking our dog to a different place a few days later and they were able to remove all the staples with my dog standing up (in a comfortable position for her) while the doctor was the one on the ground underneath her in about 5 minutes. Overall, our experience was absolutely terrible. Dr. Scott is very inconsiderate, selfish, has no apathy, and is very pushy. Her goal was to charge me as much as possible for putting in the littlest amount of work on her end. I will never bring my dog or any animal back here again. If you care about your pets at all, I highly recommend you avoid this place at all costs!!
Feb 25, 2025 · Casey JadloskiI absolutely love Dr. Scott and her team. My baby is a tough one to take on and they handle him beautifully. Dr. Scott has been our vet for almost 10 years now and we wouldn’t trust anyone else except her and her staff with our babies. I am one of “those” dog moms so I’m extremely picky! Lol I would give more stars if possible. Highly Highly recommend ❤️
Jan 29, 2025 · Jamie McKibbenOur first visit here and everything went great! Thanks to Elissa, Terri and Billy for taking the time to make us comfortable. Our dog got all his needed vaccines and came out with a clean bill of health! Keep up the good work Paws to Claws! We’ll see you soon.
Apr 02, 2024 · Chris SidesI took my bearded dragon here because she broke her toe and therefore they casted her foot. Once her cast was taken off the toe that WASNT broken turned black and stiff. I followed the exact instructions they gave me with the cast and kept it on for the 10-14 days, monitoring swelling around it, and pain medication. Now my bearded dragon is having more issues with her foot than we began with. Which is soon going to us having to amputate it. (The casting left her with 3 layers of stuck shed which is now more layers even after baths, extra rough surfaces, lightly scrubbing her foot with a soft toothbrush, etc) As well they did not show us how to administer pain medication to her either which was I believe 60$ on top of the 120$ wellness check. The workers are very nice but I will not be coming back here for any of my exotic pets. There’s the before the cast, with the cast, and as of today without the cast.
