Good Neighbor vet is such a wonderful asset to our community. It's a mobile vet that drives around on certain days and sees dogs and cats in their van and prescribes medication that they need. The vet and the assistance do an awesome job getting you through the line to see the that. I do recommend showing up at least 45 minutes early to stand in line if you want to be one of the first 10 people seen. I also recently ordered bravecto from my two dogs and I ordered that about 4:00 on Monday and it showed up by 3:30 on Tuesday in my mail that was very quick.

Good Neighbor Vet Introduce

Introducing Good Neighbor Vet, an innovative and highly convenient option within the Pet Hospital category, serving the Portland, Oregon community from their mobile unit located at 8334 SE 17th Ave. Unlike traditional brick-and-mortar veterinary clinics, Good Neighbor Vet operates as a mobile veterinary service, bringing essential pet care directly to various locations on specific days. This unique approach aims to make routine veterinary services more accessible and convenient for pet owners throughout the Portland area.

The environment of Good Neighbor Vet is distinct due to its mobile nature. Operating out of a specialized van, the clinic is designed to provide a safe and functional space for basic veterinary examinations, vaccinations, and dispensing medications. While it may not offer the extensive facilities of a stationary hospital, the mobile unit is equipped to handle routine wellness checks and preventative care efficiently. The focus is on streamlining the process and bringing the services closer to the community, often setting up at easily accessible locations such as pet supply stores, daycare centers, and other community hubs.

The primary services offered by Good Neighbor Vet revolve around preventative care and basic health maintenance for dogs and cats. Vaccinations are a core service, providing essential protection against common and potentially serious diseases. This includes core vaccines recommended for most pets, as well as lifestyle-based vaccines depending on the animal's risk factors. The convenience of receiving these vital protections at a local community spot eliminates the need for a potentially stressful trip to a traditional clinic for some pets.

In addition to vaccinations, Good Neighbor Vet also provides preventative medications. This includes treatments for common parasites such as fleas, ticks, and heartworms. As mentioned in a customer review, they offer products like Bravecto, a popular flea and tick preventative, which can be ordered and even delivered quickly by mail, further enhancing convenience for pet owners. This proactive approach to parasite control is crucial for maintaining the health and comfort of pets.

The mobile nature of Good Neighbor Vet is a significant feature, offering unparalleled convenience for busy pet owners or those who may find it challenging to transport their animals to a traditional clinic. By setting up at various locations on specific days, they bring essential veterinary care directly to different neighborhoods within Portland. This can be particularly beneficial for owners of multiple pets or those with limited transportation options.

Another notable feature, as highlighted in a customer review, is the affordability of their services, particularly concerning pet vaccines. This makes essential preventative care more accessible to a wider range of pet owners, contributing to the overall health of the local pet population. The combination of convenience and affordability makes Good Neighbor Vet an attractive option for routine care.

The efficiency of the service is also commended. The reviews mention the staff being awesome at managing the flow of pet owners waiting to be seen. While it's advised to arrive early due to potential wait times, the process of seeing the vet once it's your turn seems to be handled smoothly. Additionally, the promptness of their medication delivery service, as noted with the quick arrival of the ordered Bravecto, speaks to their commitment to efficient service.

The staff at Good Neighbor Vet are described as nice and trustworthy, which is crucial in building confidence and rapport with pet owners. Knowing that the veterinary professionals handling your beloved animals are competent and caring can significantly ease any anxieties associated with veterinary visits. The positive interactions reported by customers contribute to a favorable perception of their service.

It is important to note that as a mobile clinic, Good Neighbor Vet's services may be primarily focused on preventative care and basic health needs. They may not offer the extensive diagnostic and surgical capabilities of a full-service stationary Pet Hospital. For more complex medical issues, emergencies, or surgical procedures, pet owners would likely need to seek care at a traditional veterinary clinic or specialty hospital.

Currently, specific promotional information is not available in the provided data. Mobile veterinary clinics sometimes offer introductory discounts for new clients or package deals for vaccinations and preventative medications. To learn about any current promotions, local users are encouraged to contact Good Neighbor Vet directly at (888) 234-1350 or +1 888-234-1350. They can also inquire about their schedule of locations and times to find the most convenient option for their needs. Visiting their website or social media pages, if available, might also provide information on upcoming events or special offers.

In conclusion, Good Neighbor Vet offers a valuable and convenient service within the Pet Hospital category for the Portland community. Their mobile approach brings essential preventative care, such as vaccinations and parasite preventatives, directly to various accessible locations. Customers appreciate their affordability, efficient service, and friendly, trustworthy staff. While their services may be primarily focused on routine care, Good Neighbor Vet provides a wonderful asset to the community by making pet health more accessible and convenient for many pet owners. For local users seeking straightforward preventative care, Good Neighbor Vet is definitely worth considering.

Our three tigers receive professional veterinarian services at affordable rates. The various deals keep our costs low. Reminder cards of pending treatment dates are making it easy to find a clinic for service.

It was great. It didn't take too long and the staff were very friendly. We were able to get our kitten's first shots and tests accomplished in one easy stop.

i went to the mobile clinic with my newly rescued cat, laleh. staff were incredibly helpful and kind. they provided vaccinations, checked her for fleas, checked that she did not have a microchip, and sent us on our way with some medication for the fleas. laleh enjoyed the attention. i have three reasons for not giving five stars: the prices felt pretty expensive to be honest, i don’t think enough information was given on the flea situation, and the wait was about an hour (i showed up right when the clinic was opening so i suggest arriving extra early). the vet recommended i use flea baths and a topical medication but luckily i knew this was something to take much more seriously and i hired exterminators. however, i will definitely return in about 90 days (per their recommendation) for laleh’s booster shots.
