Very well maintained and is set up with a dog water fountain inside the fenced area and there's a separate water bin with spigot so you don't have dogs crowding for the same water source. Our dogs seem to be the most relaxed at this dog park. There's a massive pin oak tree in the middle that is great for shade. Then there's immediate access to walking trails going off into the woods, baseball diamonds, tennis and basketball courts, and a nice playground for kids. This is our go-to dog park in the Raleigh area.

A clean park encourages regular use and fosters a positive community environment.

Beyond the dog park itself, its location within the larger Wendell Park complex offers a unique advantage. Locals can combine a dog park visit with a family outing, utilizing the "immediate access to walking trails going off into the woods, baseball diamonds, tennis and basketball courts, and a nice playground for kids." This makes Wendell Dog Park an ideal destination for households with diverse recreational needs, allowing everyone to enjoy the outdoors simultaneously. Spacious and well-maintained. Clean with stocked poop bags. Water station available for summer months if you bring your own bowl.

We played the Wendell Disc Golf course and it was pretty good. A lot of trees and some decent technicality. No tee pads yet, but you don't really need them. The signage is good, but a little convoluted with where each next shot is in relation to the previous shot. Luckily, we ran across a group of seasoned guys at this course who helped guide us in the right direction. We'll definitely be back out here to play!

Very clean, it's a fairly large dog park. Everyone was very pleasant. There was a dog that entered that was very excited around the other dogs. The owner kindly kept her on her leash to avoid any mishaps from any larger dogs. Not only was she ensuring the safety of her little dog but the safety of the larger dogs. Responsible dog ownership is extremely important. You never know how another animal may react to yours or you. We will be back again.

I like this park. It would be nice if it was a little bigger. It has a huge tree for shade. Sometimes you can have a couple of other dogs there, but there are also times when you have five or more. Keep in mind, the picture you see is on the other side of the dog park. If you see that little piece of the chain link fence, the picture should be on that side.
