If you have a small dog, there is an only small dogs part in the park. During the summer, you can go later in the evening to avoid harsh sun. There are a few trees and available water supply. When we were there, there was a kiddie pool to cool of your pups. My Bentley approves of this park and this review.

Location and Accessibility

Rose Mofford Dog Park is conveniently located at 9833 N 25th Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85021, USA. This address places it within the larger Rose Mofford Sports Complex, situated in North Phoenix, just north of Dunlap Avenue and west of the I-17 freeway. Its position makes it highly accessible for residents across North Phoenix and surrounding areas, ensuring a relatively quick and straightforward drive for most local dog owners.

The park benefits from being part of a large sports complex, which typically means ample parking. Visitors often appreciate the "easy parking access close to entrance gates." However, it's worth noting that on weekends, especially when there are games or events at the adjacent softball fields, parking can become "hectic" as team participants may spill over into the dog park's lot. The Rose Mofford Sports Complex is well-integrated into Phoenix's road network, making routes to and from the park clear and manageable. The dog park itself is located at the south end of the complex, behind the baseball fields, which helps in terms of providing a dedicated space away from some of the main sports activities. The park is also known to be fully handicap accessible, ensuring that it is welcoming and usable for all members of the community. This combination of a prominent location, convenient parking, and accessibility features solidifies Rose Mofford Dog Park's standing as a highly functional and valued community amenity.

As a public park facility operated by the City of Phoenix Parks and Recreation Department, Rose Mofford Dog Park does not typically offer commercial promotions or special discounts. Love this park! Good people and dogs, very good maintenance and easy parking access close to entrance gates. It is right next to a softball field and so the weekends get hectic trying to find parking as the team's spill over into the dog park lot. Hopefully we can get dog park only signs put up before next season other than that its wonderful

Grand daughters softball tournament. Good fields, big place, easy to find locations. Food concessions are terrible. Bring a tent for the wait time....lol

Great place to bring your dogs! There are two areas, one for small dogs and one for big. They are right next to each other making it easy for dog parents with two different size dogs.

This is a nice facility. No ramps or obstacles for the pups BUT there are two water stations that are great for spraying your dog (if they like that kinda thing) or letting them play in a baby pool. I usually take my pup to Foothills behind the Recreation Center, but it is closed on Wednesdays, so we come here. Lots of room for the pups to run, plus, there are over a dozen chairs for us lazy owners. Many trees provide shade and help create small groups where friends can sit and talk while their pups play. Me likey.
