Large park. I would estimate at least 2 acres or more with lots of interesting little wooded areas and mini trails to explore. Also access to a river with a bench and just a really outstanding dog park. I feel like the pictures online. Don't give a good sense of just how nice it is.

This vastness is complemented by diverse terrain, including open grassy areas, wooded sections, and mini trails, providing varied sensory experiences for dogs and preventing monotony.
Direct River Access: The gated access to the Crawfish River is a standout feature. It allows dogs to enjoy off-leash swimming, a beloved activity for many canines, especially during warmer months. This natural water feature adds an exciting dimension to playtime that few other dog parks can offer.

As a public dog park, River Run Dog Park operates as a recreational facility rather than a commercial business with ongoing sales or promotions. Its primary "offer" is the provision of a superb, well-maintained, and expansive environment for off-leash dog exercise and socialization. Access to the park typically requires a permit. Based on available public information, an annual permit is usually required, with options for single-day permits also available. For example, permits could be obtained through local entities, sometimes even at local veterinary clinics that support the park. This permit system helps fund the maintenance and upkeep of the park, ensuring it remains a high-quality resource for the community.
While there aren't traditional "promotions" like discounts on merchandise, the value offered by the park's amenities – its vast size, diverse terrain, and river access – far outweighs any commercial promotion. Dog owners in Wisconsin often find the annual permit fee a small price to pay for consistent access to such a unique and beneficial facility for their pets. It's always advisable to check with the local city or county parks and recreation department or the contact information provided for the most current details on permit fees and regulations, as these can change periodically.

Oct 19, 2023 · Leah DerusGood size. Nice landscaping. Has benches, shade, and open spaces.
May 20, 2025 · Brad WilliamsWhat's with these dog parks in this area? They want you to pay but are still so run down. No thanks.
Jun 13, 2025 · Tammy AbramsLeash free park, LOTS of room for dogs to run and play. There's a river the dogs can play in or near. There's a smaller area cordoned off for small dogs and puppies. It's a privately owned park so there is a small entrance fee ($3 for the first dog, $1 each additional dog for a day pass). The park is clean and well maintained. I can't wait for our next visit!
May 24, 2018 · Nancy DAbsolutely love this dog park! It's open year round, and the people there couldn't be friendlier! I've had numerous occasions where my dog was able to run, jump, and play with a variety of dogs; never once having any issue with other dogs or people. It's absolutely worth the small fee for the annual pass!
