I’ve come across some people with big aggressive dogs that were using the small dog area. They did this to avoid other aggressive dogs in the large breed area. It is a nice area to enjoy watching puppies or your dogs interact with other dogs. It seems clean every time I have been there. I’ll be back again

K9 Pointe Dog Park stands as a prime example of a public amenity that consistently delivers on these fronts. As professional content writers specializing in local business SEO, we are pleased to offer a clear, engaging, and factual overview of this popular dog park, guiding local users to understand its many advantages and why it's a top choice for fostering happy, healthy pups.
K9 Pointe Dog Park is described as a "decent sized park" with well-defined areas, including "a big side and small side" for dogs. This separation is a crucial feature, though reviewers note instances where "some people with big aggressive dogs... were using the small dog area... to avoid other aggressive dogs in the large breed area." While this highlights the importance of owner vigilance, the park itself provides the infrastructure for appropriate play. Overall, the park is praised for its cleanliness, with one visitor noting, "It seems clean every time I have been there. I’ll be back again." This consistent upkeep contributes significantly to a positive experience.
Beyond the open space, K9 Pointe offers excellent amenities that enhance its functionality. It features "an agility course," providing an engaging activity for energetic pups, and boasts "water both inside for the dogs and outside for people and a wash your paws/feet station." These practical additions ensure comfort and convenience for all visitors. The presence of a "shade pavilion" and efforts to grow "shade trees" address the vital need for protection from the Texas sun. Despite occasional challenges with owner supervision – "some people... not paying attention to their dogs" – the general sentiment remains positive, with many affirming, "Overall, my dog liked the park!" The park's proximity to "A long trail nearby, too," further expands the recreational possibilities for dog owners.

K9 Pointe Dog Park is ideally located at 1100 Bear Creek Pkwy, Keller, TX 76248, USA. This address places it within the City of Keller, near The Keller Pointe recreational facility. Its strategic position along Bear Creek Parkway makes it highly accessible for residents of Keller and surrounding communities in Northeast Tarrant County, including Roanoke, Southlake, and Colleyville.
The park sits near the overflow parking lots of The Keller Pointe, ensuring ample parking availability for visitors. This convenient parking arrangement makes trips to the dog park hassle-free, even during busier times. Its location within a larger recreational area means well-maintained roads leading to the park entrance.
K9 Pointe Dog Park operates with consistent hours, typically open from "8 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily." This wide window provides flexibility for dog owners with varying schedules, allowing for early morning exercise, midday play, or evening visits. However, it's important for local users to note the scheduled maintenance closure: the park is closed "8 a.m. to noon on Wednesdays." This regular closure ensures the park remains clean, safe, and in optimal condition. Furthermore, the park is also "closed during and after inclement weather, reopening once the ground has dried." This policy helps preserve the park's turf and prevents muddy conditions. Users are advised to "check our Facebook page for updates on closings" due to weather or maintenance.
The park's proximity to "A long trail nearby, too" (likely the Bear Creek Park trails) further enhances its accessibility, offering opportunities for leashed walks and extended outdoor activity before or after off-leash play. Dogs must be on leash prior to entering the park's double-gated system, ensuring a controlled and safe entry into the off-leash areas.
K9 Pointe Dog Park provides a comprehensive array of services and amenities designed to create a comfortable, safe, and engaging environment for dogs and their owners. These offerings are carefully planned to facilitate enjoyable off-leash play and promote responsible pet ownership.
-
Separate Large and Small Dog Areas: A fundamental service is the provision of "separate areas for large and small dog." The large dog area is designated for dogs over 25 pounds, while the small dog area is for dogs 30 pounds and under (or 25 pounds/under in some descriptions, indicating focus on smaller/frailer dogs). This crucial separation ensures appropriate play interactions, enhancing safety and comfort for all canine visitors.
-
Water Fountains for Dogs and Humans: Hydration is paramount, especially in the Texas climate. The park is well-equipped with "water both inside for the dogs and outside for people." These fountains provide a reliable and accessible source of fresh drinking water, helping to keep both pets and owners hydrated during their visit.
-
Dog Wash Station: A significant convenience for owners is the presence of a "wash your paws/feet station" (also described as a "dog wash station"). This service allows owners to clean their dogs' paws before leaving the park, helping to keep vehicles and homes cleaner after playtime.
-
Agility Equipment: For dogs that enjoy mental and physical challenges, the park includes "a variety of agility equipment." This service provides stimulating activities beyond just running, encouraging dogs to jump, climb, and weave, thereby enhancing their physical fitness and problem-solving skills.
-
Shade Pavilion and Seating: The park features a "shade pavilion" and "seating," along with efforts to grow "shade trees." This provision of shaded resting areas is a vital service, offering owners respite from the sun while they supervise their dogs, making visits more comfortable and extended.
-
Dog Waste Stations: To maintain cleanliness and hygiene, the park is equipped with "waste disposal stations" which typically include bags and trash cans. This service supports responsible pet waste removal, contributing to a pleasant environment for all users.
-
Regular Maintenance Closures: The scheduled weekly closure on "Wednesdays from 8 a.m. to noon for standard maintenance" is a proactive service. This dedicated time allows the City of Keller Parks and Recreation staff to clean, repair, and maintain the grounds, ensuring the park remains in excellent condition for the community.
These comprehensive services collectively make K9 Pointe Dog Park a highly functional, user-friendly, and well-maintained destination for dog owners in Keller.
K9 Pointe Dog Park boasts several prominent features and highlights that firmly establish it as a premier destination for dog owners in Keller, TX, and the surrounding communities.

-

May 27, 2025 · Andrew WrightIt is a decent sized park with an agility course. There is water both inside for the dogs and outside for people and a wash your paws/feet station. Not the parks fault, but there are some people who were there not paying attention to their dogs and the dogs were harassing other dogs/biting/barking/running over other dogs and the owners were not doing anything about it. So just beware as you should in any dog park. There is a big side and small side. Overall, my dog liked the park! A long trail nearby, too.
Feb 05, 2025 · Briann DavisThis dog park is the worst one in the area. * Minimal shaded areas: in Texas, this means you are going to be hot and sweaty. Other parks have tons of shaded areas for owners and dogs. * Minimal actual grass; majority of the park is literally packed dirt and gravel. * Minimal watering options outside dirty buckets; hopefully, your dog has a strong immune system! * Minimal washing station; other parks have dedicated washing basins with a handheld hose and even hot water * NO TOILETS; closest toilet is the Keller Pointe but other parks have complete bathrooms with working sinks.
Feb 06, 2024 · Josh JimenezGreat park with options for large and small dogs. There are convenient poop, water, and wash stations, as well as dog toys and agility setups on the large dog side. If you prefer to walk, there are multiple trail entry points with plenty of tree coverage to keep you and your dogs cool!
May 21, 2022 · AESOP OfficialThe dog park is very nice. Poop baggie stations stocked up and trash cans emptied. It is well maintained and the equipment and ramps are in good condition. I would definitely recommend it. Even has pretty decent shade.
