We Texans understand the importance of open spaces, and Golden Triangle Dog Park delivers exactly that. It stands out not only for its excellent facilities but also for its unique ownership model – it's a privately owned and funded park, yet completely free for public use! This dedication ensures a high standard of care and a commitment to the local dog community. Imagine your pup running freely, playing with new friends, or simply basking in the open air, all within a safe and welcoming setting. Whether you have a tiny terrier or a large retriever, this park is designed to cater to every dog's needs, making it a fantastic addition to Fort Worth's pet-friendly landscape.
Golden Triangle Dog Park is conveniently located at 1929 Golden Heights Rd #1300, Fort Worth, TX 76177, USA. This prime location places it within the bustling Fort Worth Design District, making it easily accessible for residents of North Fort Worth, Keller, Haslet, and other surrounding communities. Its proximity to various businesses and the broader Golden Triangle area means it's a convenient stop during your daily errands or a dedicated trip for dog park playtime.
The park's address is straightforward, allowing for easy navigation using GPS or mapping applications. It benefits from having dedicated parking spaces, ensuring a hassle-free arrival for you and your excited canine companion. Being part of the Fort Worth Design District also means it's situated in an area known for its unique businesses, art installations, and a general dog-friendly atmosphere, adding to the overall appeal of a visit. The park is reported to be open from 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM every day of the week, offering ample opportunity for visits.
Golden Triangle Dog Park provides a range of amenities and services thoughtfully designed to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable experience for both dogs and their owners.
- Dedicated Off-Leash Areas: The park features spacious, fully fenced areas where dogs can safely run, play, and socialize without the confines of a leash.
- Separate Large and Small Dog Sections: To ensure comfortable and safe interactions for all canine visitors, the park boasts distinct, securely fenced sections for small dogs and larger breeds. This separation allows dogs to play with others of similar size and temperament.
- Foot-Operated Water Bowls: A highlight for many visitors, the park offers convenient and hygienic foot-operated water bowls, ensuring fresh water is always available for thirsty pups without the need for manual refilling.
- Benches and Seating: For the comfort of pet owners, numerous benches and seating areas are strategically placed throughout the park, providing spots to relax, observe play, and socialize with other dog parents.
- Agility Equipment: Some sources indicate the presence of agility equipment, adding an extra layer of fun and mental stimulation for dogs who enjoy obstacle courses and active play.
- Waste Stations with Bags: To promote cleanliness and responsible pet ownership, the park is equipped with waste bag dispensers and trash receptacles, encouraging all visitors to pick up after their dogs.
What truly makes Golden Triangle Dog Park a standout choice for Fort Worth dog owners are its unique features and the philosophy behind its operation.
- Privately Owned and Free to Use: A significant highlight is that the park is privately owned and funded by local real estate developer Ron Sturgeon, yet it is completely free for public enjoyment. This unique model ensures a well-maintained facility without relying on public taxes.
- Fully Fenced and Secure: The park is a fully fenced enclosure, providing a secure environment for off-leash play. This gives pet owners peace of mind, knowing their dogs can roam safely.
- Grass Surface: While some early reviews mentioned mud, recent information confirms that grass has grown in, providing a more comfortable and natural play surface for dogs.
- Quiet Atmosphere (especially mornings): One reviewer noted that coming early in the day can offer a quieter experience, which is perfect for dogs who prefer less crowded environments or for those looking to enjoy a more serene playtime.
- Under Power Lines: It's important to note, as one reviewer mentioned, that the park is located under some power lines, which is why there are no large trees for natural shade. However, the park may offer other forms of shade.
- Community-Focused Development: The park's creation was a community-minded initiative, providing a valuable amenity to the rapidly developing neighborhoods around the Fort Worth Design District and Golden Triangle Business Park.
As a privately owned but free-to-use public amenity, Golden Triangle Dog Park doesn't typically offer traditional commercial "promotions" or "special offers" for park entry or usage. The primary "offer" is its accessibility and high-quality facilities without a fee.
However, being part of the Fort Worth Design District, the park benefits from the vibrant community and events often hosted within the district. For instance, the grand opening of the park featured giveaways from local sponsors like Linda Allen State Farm Agency and Three Dog Bakery of Alliance. While these specific promotions might be in the past, the Fort Worth Design District frequently hosts events, art festivals, and activities that may be dog-friendly or provide opportunities to engage with local pet-related businesses. It's advisable to check the Fort Worth Design District's official website or their social media channels for any upcoming events that might include pet-centric activities or local business collaborations that could offer special benefits to visitors. The continuous investment from its private ownership ensures that the park itself remains a top-tier "special offer" for the community.

Sep 24, 2023 · Maya Berrynice place. i think its large enough, so puzzled by some reviews. it was muddy when it was first opened, but grass has grown in. its privately owned and funded, and its free. it is under some power lines, so that's why there aren't any trees, they aren't allowed. our dogs love playing here and we especially like the small/large dog segregation with foot operated water bowls, these pics were taken right after it opened. its gotten quite busy, especially weekends.
Apr 20, 2019 · Ron SI live in Haslet and this is the closest park in the area that I'm aware of. I was disappointed how small the fenced area was. It is split up between large and small dogs of course. There is only one bench with no covering or trees to block the sun on a hot day. I saw one other dog in my visit. I wouldn't expect this to be a busy park. I may still go to the Keller dog park although my favorite is Freedom dog park.
Sep 28, 2018 · Seth SalamancaFirst time coming. 6:45 PM on a Wednesday and no dogs for my fur baby to play with ☹️ it must have went down hill fast. It smells like sewer too 😶🌫️
Apr 03, 2025 · ChristinaA nice little gem hidden back among business park. It has a side for big dogs and a side for small dogs. Both sides have a water fountain for the dogs. Both sides have the same play equipment as well. It's bigger than I expected, and kept pretty clean. Not much for dogs to play on and a very real lack of any shade.
