Great dog park and the use of pea gravel is great to stop it from seeing a total muddy mess with there is any moisture! Has some agility training aids on the east side as well as benches ostensibly for humans and shaded areas too. This is a really great dog park with close in parking. I highly recommend it for an urban off leash dog park

Services Offered

Jaycee Park is more than just an open field; it provides a variety of services and features designed to enhance the dog park experience for both pets and their owners. Here’s what you can expect:

  • Off-Leash Play Areas: The primary service, offering ample space for dogs to run, play, and interact freely without the constraint of a leash.
  • Separate Small Dog Area: A dedicated, fenced-off section specifically designed for smaller breeds or more timid dogs. This ensures a safe and comfortable environment where smaller pups can play without feeling overwhelmed by larger, more boisterous canines.
  • Water Stations: Essential for keeping thirsty dogs hydrated, especially during warmer Colorado days. These stations provide convenient access to fresh drinking water for your pets.
  • Poop Bag Dispensers: The park provides readily available dog waste bags, promoting responsible pet ownership and helping to keep the park clean for everyone.
  • Agility Training Aids: For those looking to engage their dogs in more structured play, the park includes various agility equipment on the east side. This allows pups to practice jumps, tunnels, and other agility maneuvers, offering a fun and stimulating challenge.
Features / Highlights

What sets Jaycee Park apart and makes it a favorite among local dog owners? Here are some of its key features and highlights:

  • Pea Gravel Surface: A standout feature, the park utilizes pea gravel as its ground cover. This is a significant benefit, as it helps prevent the park from turning into a muddy mess, especially during periods of moisture or snowmelt. This means less mess on your dog and in your car after a visit!
  • Plenty of Shade and Benches: The park offers numerous shaded areas, providing relief from the Colorado sun for both dogs and their owners. There are also plenty of benches strategically placed throughout the park, offering comfortable spots for humans to sit and observe their pets playing.
  • Close-In Parking: As mentioned, the convenient parking lot right next to the park entrance makes for an easy transition from car to play area.
  • Well-Maintained Environment: Customer reviews consistently highlight the park's cleanliness and overall good condition, a testament to the efforts in maintaining a pleasant experience for all users.
  • Socialization Opportunities: The park often hosts group meet-ups, providing excellent opportunities for dogs to socialize with a wide variety of other canines, which is crucial for their development and behavior.
  • Fully Fenced: The entire off-leash area is fully fenced, providing a secure environment where dogs can play freely without owners worrying about them wandering off. Some areas also feature a double-gated entrance for added safety.
Promotions or Special Offers

While specific, ongoing promotions for Jaycee Park itself are not publicly advertised, the park is frequently a venue for local community events and dog-related gatherings. For example, the "Day with the Dogs Fair" has been held at the Bill Goodspeed Happy Tails Dog Park, which is often associated with Jaycee Park due to their close proximity. These events often feature vendors, trainers, vets, and sometimes even special activities like puppy yoga. It’s always a good idea to check local Northglenn community calendars or social media groups dedicated to dog owners for upcoming events that might offer special services or promotions during their gatherings at the park.

While the park itself doesn't offer direct promotions, its amenities and the community events it hosts provide inherent value to local dog owners seeking engaging activities and resources for their pets.

Great doggy park! Has both a small area and a big area for bigger dogs. They also have water stations for your dogs, plenty of poop bags and lots of shade and benches to sit. They also have an agility course for your pup to practice. They often have group meets up so plenty of time to socialize your dog.

My dog got attacked by a brown pit bull with white feet here and the people denied it. Called the cops and they didn’t do anything about it. I would not RECOMMEND taking your dog here. There have been a lot of dog fights here lately.

First time here, tons of parking really not used to that. It's a dirt/gravel dog park, first time in a while also seeing bag stations full, owners seemed friendly and all the dogs were too. Definitely will come back when visiting again
