Great dog park in Natick which seems very well-maintained by the town. The park is well-mulched so it doesn’t seem to get too muddy. There are 2 areas - one for larger dogs & one for smaller dogs - but when we were there, all dogs were using the larger area. We witnessed one owner who didn’t pick up after her dog after she did her business in the corner of the fenced-in area, but based on my walk around the area, this seemed to be an exception, so I’m assuming that most owners are pretty good about cleaning up after their pups.

Eddie's Park at Middlesex Path focuses on providing a secure and enjoyable environment for off-leash dog play. While it might not offer complex amenities like dog training classes on-site or extensive grooming services, its core offerings are precisely what responsible dog owners look for in a dedicated dog park:
- Off-Leash Play Area: The primary service is a spacious, designated area where dogs can run freely and safely without leashes, promoting natural canine behavior and exercise.
- Separate Areas for Large and Small Dogs: To ensure the comfort and safety of all visitors, the park features distinct, fenced-off sections specifically for larger and smaller breeds. This thoughtful separation helps prevent accidental injuries and allows dogs to play with companions of similar size and energy levels.
- Fully Fenced Environment: The entire park is securely fenced, providing peace of mind for owners that their dogs can play freely without wandering off.
- Well-Maintained Grounds: The park is regularly maintained by the town, ensuring a clean and pleasant environment. This includes well-mulched areas that minimize mud, even after rain, as noted by visitors.
Eddie's Park at Middlesex Path boasts several key features that make it a standout choice for dog owners in Massachusetts:
- Dedicated Small Dog Area: One of the most appreciated features is the separate, fully enclosed area specifically for smaller dogs. This allows smaller pups to play without being intimidated by larger, more boisterous dogs, ensuring a safer and more enjoyable experience for them and their owners.
- Spacious Large Dog Area: For the bigger breeds, there's an expansive area where they can stretch their legs and engage in vigorous play. This generous space ensures that even high-energy dogs have plenty of room to burn off steam.
- Mulched Ground Cover: A significant highlight is the park's well-mulched ground. This thoughtful design choice helps to prevent muddy paws, even during wetter seasons, which is a huge bonus for owners who want to keep their cars and homes clean after a park visit.
- Cleanliness and Owner Responsibility: The park consistently receives praise for its overall cleanliness. While occasional instances of owners not picking up after their dogs may occur, the general consensus among visitors is that most owners are diligent about cleaning up, contributing to a pleasant environment for everyone.
- Double-Gated Entrance: For added safety, the park features a double-gated entrance, reducing the risk of dogs accidentally escaping when people enter or exit.
- Shaded Seating Areas: To offer comfort to human companions, the park includes shaded seating areas where owners can relax while supervising their dogs.
- Allowance of Dog Toys: Dogs are welcome to bring and play with their toys, further enhancing their playtime experience.
- Adult-Only Policy: For a more peaceful atmosphere focused on canine play, the park has an adult-only policy, meaning no children under 10 years of age are permitted within the dog park area.
- Licensing and Vaccination Requirements: To maintain a safe and healthy environment, all dogs entering the park must be legally licensed and have proof of current rabies vaccination.
As a public dog park, Eddie's Park at Middlesex Path typically does not offer commercial promotions or special discounts. Its primary "offer" is free public access to a well-maintained and safe off-leash area for dogs. However, local groups dedicated to the park, such as FIDO of Natick, often organize community events, clean-up days, or fundraising initiatives to support the park's upkeep and enhancements. While these are not traditional promotions, participating in or supporting these efforts helps ensure the park remains a fantastic resource for all local dog owners.
Any potential future events or community-led initiatives would likely be announced through local Natick community channels or on FIDO of Natick's official platforms. Feb 03, 2024 · C TedescoWonderful park for our puppy! There was a lot of room to play. I specially loved that there was a separate section for little dogs to play away from the big dogs! We will be returning if back in the area!
Mar 30, 2022 · Jewels VermontWhat a wonderful park and completely fenced in! Love a tired dog after a romp at the park!
Mar 05, 2025 · Kelly McPhersonIt's a smaller park, which helps keep things under control, and I really liked the dog families I got to meet. There are two sections in case your dog needs some extra space or time.
Jun 27, 2024 · Sevan SarianGreat dog park. Has a separate enclosure for smaller dogs. Mulch is an upgrade from most of the gravel parks in the area.
