Services Offered

Digger's at Dad Clark Park focuses on providing the core amenities necessary for a positive and responsible off-leash dog park experience:

  • Fenced Off-Leash Area: The primary service is a securely fenced area where dogs can play freely without a leash. While described as "small," it provides adequate space for dogs to run, play fetch, and interact.
  • Grass and Natural Plantings: The park features natural grass and some plants, offering a pleasant and natural surface for dogs to play on. This is a welcome change from parks with only gravel or dirt surfaces.
  • Water Access (Hose/Seasonal): A significant convenience is the availability of a "water hose" and "water for the dogs." This is particularly helpful for keeping dogs hydrated during playtime, especially in Colorado's dry climate. It's important to note that water availability may be seasonal, so bringing your own water is always a good idea, particularly outside of irrigation season.
  • Poop Bags: The park thoughtfully provides "poop bags," which are essential for maintaining cleanliness and encouraging responsible pet ownership. This amenity makes it easy for owners to pick up after their dogs.
  • Seating: The presence of benches within the park allows owners to sit, relax, and supervise their dogs comfortably.
Features / Highlights

Despite its "small" size, Digger's at Dad Clark Park offers several appealing features that make it a favorite for many local dog owners:

  • Intimate and Manageable Size: For owners who prefer a less overwhelming environment or have smaller/older dogs, the "nice small dog park" size is a significant highlight. It's easy to keep an eye on your dog and navigate the space.
  • Green Surface (Grass & Plants): The presence of "grass, plants" provides a more natural and softer play surface compared to parks that are primarily dirt or gravel, which can be dusty or muddy.
  • Reliable Water Source: The availability of a water hose for dogs is a highly appreciated amenity, ensuring pups stay hydrated during their play sessions. While it's seasonal, during warmer months, it's a huge convenience.
  • Cleanliness: Although not explicitly detailed in every review, the provision of poop bags and a generally well-kept appearance suggest a focus on cleanliness, which contributes to a positive user experience.
  • Proximity to Dad Clark Park: Being part of the larger Dad Clark Park means visitors can enjoy other amenities, such as a playground for children, basketball courts, and walking paths, making it a versatile destination for families.
  • Fenced Security: The park is fully fenced, providing a safe and contained environment for off-leash play, giving owners peace of mind.
  • Peaceful Atmosphere: One review noted the lack of other dogs at times, which for some, can be a highlight if they are seeking a quieter, less crowded experience for their dog, or if their dog prefers one-on-one play.

Nice small dog park with poop bags and a water hose

Great park with grass, plants and water for the dogs. There just aren't any dogs when we ever come for Chewy to play with :-(

This dog park is really great. The walk to it is a little far, but beautiful and worth it for the quietness you get even in the suburbs. Great place and unlike other dog parks this one isn't just worn down to only dirt. There are plants. Also appreciative of the nice (working) water spigot.

Great "hidden" park for your pooch to run free! Water available during the summer months for the thirsty pups! Don't bring your buddy when it's hot, there really isn't much shade..

Nice off leash area. If you walk more than 50 feet away from your car, its easy to find, so despite what some other clueless (lazy) reviews said, this place is correctly labeled as a dog park. For being in a "nice" neighborhood, there sure was a TON of dog crap everywhere. There are bag posts nearly every 200 feet, pure laziness. Probably wont come back, as there are cleaner dog parks in South Denver, I dont want my dogs to catch something.
