Great area to let your furry friends run free. There’s paved walkways as well as dirt trails, benches throughout the park. They also have a swimming area for the doggos that like to cool off. People seem to be pretty good about picking up after their pets and the fee you pay for the park helps maintain the area. There is an entry fee to the park as well as a fee to use the pet area.

Its location southwest of Denver makes it highly accessible for residents from Littleton, Highlands Ranch, Lone Tree, Centennial, Englewood, and even parts of Denver itself. Being part of a state park means there are well-maintained roads and ample, designated parking lots specifically for the dog off-leash area. Promotions or Special Offers

Chatfield Dog Park operates within the larger framework of Chatfield State Park, which is managed by Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW). As such, direct "promotions" in the commercial sense are not typically offered by the dog park itself. However, access to the park involves a fee structure, and there are options for cost savings through annual passes.

To access the dog park, visitors must pay:

  • State Park Entrance Fee: This is a daily vehicle pass, typically $12, for entry into Chatfield State Park.
  • Dog Off-Leash Area Pass: In addition to the state park entrance fee, there is a separate fee specifically for using the off-leash dog area, which is usually around $3 for a daily pass.

For frequent visitors, annual passes offer significant savings:

  • Annual State Park Pass: An annual vehicle pass for all Colorado State Parks is available for approximately $80.
  • Annual Dog Off-Leash Area Pass (DOLA Pass): An annual pass specifically for the dog off-leash areas at Chatfield and Cherry Creek State Parks can be purchased for around $25. This pass is separate from the state park pass but is required in conjunction with it for off-leash area use.
  • Keep Colorado Wild Pass: Colorado residents can also add a Keep Colorado Wild Pass for $29 onto their vehicle registration renewal, which provides annual state park access.

These passes serve as the "special offers" for regular users, significantly reducing the per-visit cost for those who frequent the park. Information about purchasing these passes is available at the park entrance stations or the park office.

Chatfield dog park is my new favorite spot to take my dog for a weekend adventure. She loves swimming in the water and they have a Great Lake for dogs specifically to swim in. My golden retriever had plenty of space to run around and came home exhausted from a fun day of playing.

Not just a dog playground, it’s paradise! My dog Apollo went crazy with the lake and couldn’t stop swimming. Vibe really good, all dogs are well behaved. Can’t ask for more.

Been going here ever since I moved to Colorado about 4 years ago. I can say my dog loves it and as a minority amongst the majority of the people, I've never had a problem and most have been super nice.
