It's a great park with a lot of room, however, if it's even slightly wet outside it becomes extremely muddy due to several areas not being taken care of. The grass is very patchy leaving mud and large mud puddles that I wouldn't want my dog in. I would think with the amount of money we pay to get access to the park, they could maintain the area a little better. Update: they added rocks into the muddy areas this year. It's helped a lot! A few more muddy patches but it looks a lot better.

Services Offered

The Civic Center Park-Dog Park, as a managed municipal facility, provides a range of essential "services" and amenities designed to enhance the experience for its canine and human members:

Promotions or Special Offers

As a municipal dog park operated by the Clinton Township Parks & Recreation Department, Civic Center Park-Dog Park does not engage in commercial "promotions" or "special offers" in the retail sense. Its value proposition lies in its membership structure and the benefits derived from it. The primary "offers" are the structured fees for access and the amenities provided.

  • Tiered Membership Fees: The park offers tiered annual membership fees based on residency status and age. This includes:
    • Resident (Under 55): $22.00
    • Non-Resident (Under 55): $44.00

    • Non-Resident Senior (55 and over): $40.00
This tiered pricing acts as a benefit for Clinton Township residents and senior citizens, offering them a more affordable rate.
  • Key Fob Access: A one-time purchase of a key fob (approximately $12.00) is required for entry. This ensures secure access and is a one-time fee good for the entire duration of dog park use, making it a long-term "offer" of convenience.
  • Online Registration and Information: The availability of online registration and access to comprehensive information about the park's rules and requirements on the Clinton Township website streamlines the process for new and returning members, acting as a "convenience offer."
  • Health and Safety Protocols: The requirement for current vaccinations (Rabies, DHPP, Bordetella) and a valid dog license ensures a healthier and safer environment for all park users, which is a continuous "offer" of peace of mind.

Nice park. They provide water and water bowls right in the park during the warmer months, plastic bags and receptacles to clean up after your dog, and there's plenty of grass area and seating. There's even an umbrella for particularly hot and sunny days. You need a fob to get in the gate that you purchase from Clinton Township Recreation department after proving your dog is registered and up to date on all shots and vaccinations.

Really nice large well taken care of grassy dog park. Worth the $16 dollars a year and $10 for a keyfob. All dogs must be licensed and have rabies shot. Which is good to know just incase.
