Our favorite dogs park in the cities! Huge with lots of walking paths, varied landscape and multiple pods for dogs to swim in. It's a popular one that usually has many for your pup to play with. Plenty of stops along the way to dispose of poop bags. There is even a little free library in the big field area. In the winter I highly recommend crampons or some sort of footwear meant for ice. The high traffic makes it very slippery and it is quite hilly in places.

This allows local dog lovers to enjoy countless hours of recreation without any entry fees, making it an incredibly cost-effective option for exercise and socialization for your pet. Periodically, local dog-related organizations or city parks and recreation departments might host special events, training sessions, or adoption days at the park. These events, though not a permanent "promotion," offer unique opportunities for community engagement and enrichment. We recommend checking the official City of Maplewood Parks and Recreation website or local community calendars for any upcoming special events that might be held at Battle Creek Dog Park. These sporadic happenings could include anything from pet adoption drives to free obedience training demonstrations, adding extra value to your visits. The ongoing benefit, however, remains the everyday accessibility and outstanding quality of this beloved local dog park.

The park is very well maintained and free of major obstacles we’ve been here several times and the dogs just love it. The parks watering hole as I refer to it is our lab’s fav spot as you can see for yourself.

Free dog park. 35 acre off-lease dog park that is fully fenced in, mailboxes throughout with bags for cleaning up after your pet, trash cans throughout, seating throughout, four (4) double gate entrances, three water/pond areas, numerous trails, and two large open areas for the dogs to chase one another. Open year round. Plenty of free parking. I don’t know of any dog parks in Minnesota that are not free but it is very common out of state to have locked, paid, member only city/county dog parks.

Probably the best dog park in the Twin Cities. Trash cans are provided. Multiple beaches for dog swimming. Restroom provided in parking lot. Big enough to get lost in and no maps. Lots of trails. Several open grassy areas for play but mostly wooded.

Me and my dog love this place. Very large park with a lot of hiking trails and open areas for play and fetch. There’s a few large ponds for your dog to swim and get muddy in (allow your dog to be a dog). Wouldn’t recommend bringing a puppy or anxious dog here. Its pretty busy.
