Never a poor experience with this team. Quality of product is amazing and the selection is second to none in the area. Constantly rotating fresh options and providing insight for each specific need. Couple of my recent pickups have all been great and are already well acclimated. Update: some of those very frags , a year later.

I thought I left a review a couple weeks ago but it seems to be gone. I was impressed by maybe 2 of the fish. That's about it. The store is dark and uninviting. The workers stayed hidden in a corner and didn't offer much help. The tropical fish section is a joke. Why even advertise it? They get a 1 star review because of the employees. When I went there where 2 guys chilling in the back corner. Trying to get them to help you was nearly impossible. I did finally get one to start to engage in a conversation. I just started cycling a new tank at home and was literally in the middle of asking him if they had any media they are changing out when another worker/friend showed up. As soon as this person walked in I might as well not have existed. They literally turned away from me midsentenced and walked to the backroom with whoever it was that walked in the door. Stay away from this place. You have much better options out there.

Hands down the best place to shop for any of your saltwater needs, the fish are always healthy and the staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. The owner Jared, always treats his customers with respect and dedicates his time to each interaction. Whether you’re new to the hobby, or an experienced fish keeper. This is the place you have to visit. Ps: they also carry freshwater fish and shrimp! Macro algae, mangroves, and inverts. Fintastic Aquariums of Frederick is your one stop shop for all things aquatic!

Cool little shop with lots of variety. Mostly saltwater, lots of hobbiests were doing business here. Owner is very polite and passionate about the animals here. Highly recommended if you're in the Frederick area and are looking for new additions to your tank!

This is the best saltwater aquarium store in Maryland. It is much better than the other saltwater aquarium stores in all surrounding areas and states. I have been to every saltwater aquarium store within 4 hours of Frederick MD and I have not found a store that can compare to this one. This store has the best selection of corals and fish tank animals. They also have the best prices out of any fish/ coral store I have ever seen. They should have the livestock that you are looking for for your fish tank and if they dont they will get it for you! The owner/Manager Jared is very knowledgeable and easy to talk to. He truly cares about making his customers happy and successful in the fish tank hobby. He wants all of his customers to have a successful tank. Do not be afraid to ask Jared or anyone in his store questions when you come in. They do not mind helping you! Jareds store also has a nice freshwater selection that is continuing to get bigger. Jareds employees are always nice and knowledgeable. They also do a great job. I highly recommend that you stop in and check out the store for yourself anytime!
