Welcome to Pups N Stuff
For those in the Virginia Beach area seeking a puppy to add to their family, Pups N Stuff, located at 4330 Holland Rd, presents itself as a local pet store specializing in the sale of puppies. Operating under the "Pet Store Near Me" category, Pups N Stuff aims to provide a welcoming environment and a streamlined process for bringing a new puppy home. Based on customer reviews, the store emphasizes a caring staff, transparency regarding puppy health and lineage, and a commitment to ensuring a good fit between the puppy and its new family.
One customer who purchased a puppy from Pups N Stuff on Valentine's Day described the experience as easy and highlighted the friendliness of the staff. They also noted that the prices were more affordable compared to puppies found in malls. This initial positive feedback suggests a welcoming atmosphere and a potentially more accessible option for those looking to acquire a puppy. The reviewer further mentioned meeting the owner on a subsequent visit, describing her as "very sweet" and conveying a genuine love for the animals in her care.
Another detailed review addresses the common sentiment surrounding buying puppies from stores in 2024, acknowledging the prevailing encouragement towards adoption. However, the reviewer offers a perspective that some individuals may specifically desire a puppy for various reasons, such as wanting to raise and train a dog from its youth. This context helps frame Pups N Stuff as a potential option for those who choose to purchase a puppy rather than adopt an older dog.
The same reviewer recounts their experience of purchasing a dachshund puppy from Pups N Stuff. They appreciated the ability to schedule a "meet and greet" for their family, including their existing dog, facilitated by a staff member named Amber. The store ensured they had ample time and space for this interaction without feeling rushed. When the family expressed interest in the puppy but needed time to decide, Amber reportedly did not pressure them and offered to hold the puppy until the following morning, demonstrating a customer-centric approach.
Ultimately, the family decided to place a deposit and appreciated the flexibility offered by Pups N Stuff to keep the puppy at the store for a few extra days while they were out of town. During this time, Amber consistently sent pictures and videos of their new puppy and even began teaching him his new name, showcasing a high level of care and communication.
The reviewer also praised the responsiveness of the staff, noting that any questions they had via Facebook Messenger were answered almost immediately. This efficient communication further contributed to a positive experience. The reviewer explicitly stated that it was "apparent that Amber and her employees care greatly for these dogs as individuals," reinforcing the impression of a caring and dedicated team.
A significant aspect of the positive experience was the comprehensive documentation provided with the puppy. This included all shot records with vaccine stickers and pet registry papers that would allow the owners to look into their dog's pedigree. The reviewer, who had purchased a puppy from a pet store previously, noted that this experience felt "VERY legit and not icky" compared to their past experience where they received minimal paperwork. This transparency regarding the puppy's health and lineage adds a layer of trust and reassurance for the buyer.
Furthermore, the puppy came with a microchip and a QR code for its collar. The microchip account offered a substantial discount on pet insurance, which the family decided to enroll in. Pups N Stuff also provides a health guarantee for the first seven days after the puppy leaves the store, covering any illness that might have been contracted within the store. The reviewer confirmed that their puppy had a clean bill of health at their first veterinary visit within this period. Additionally, the store offers a one-year warranty for genetic issues, although the specifics of this warranty require direct inquiry for clarification.
Based on these detailed positive reviews, the environment at Pups N Stuff appears to be one where the staff is caring and attentive to both the puppies and potential owners. The store facilitates meet-and-greets to ensure compatibility and does not pressure customers into making immediate decisions. The provision of comprehensive health records, microchipping, and a health guarantee suggests a commitment to the well-being of the puppies they sell.
The services offered by Pups N Stuff seem to primarily focus on the sale of puppies, accompanied by thorough information and support to new owners. This includes facilitating introductions, holding puppies for a reasonable period, providing regular updates, and offering post-purchase support through prompt communication. The inclusion of microchipping and information on pet insurance further indicates a focus on responsible pet ownership.
Features that stand out at Pups N Stuff include the caring and knowledgeable staff, the transparent provision of health and pedigree information, the microchipping of puppies, the health guarantee, and the genetic warranty. The willingness to hold a puppy and provide updates demonstrates a commitment to customer satisfaction and the well-being of the animals. The availability of puppies, such as the dachshund mentioned in one review, suggests that they may specialize in or regularly have certain breeds available.
Promotional information is not explicitly detailed in the provided reviews. However, the mention of a "hefty discount on pet insurance" associated with the microchip account could be considered a promotional benefit offered to customers purchasing puppies from Pups N Stuff. Local residents interested in any other current promotions or specific breed availability are encouraged to contact the store directly at (757) 233-0857 or +1 757-233-0857.
In conclusion, Pups N Stuff in Virginia Beach appears to be a local pet store specializing in puppies, characterized by a caring and communicative staff, transparent practices regarding puppy health and lineage, and a commitment to facilitating positive adoptions. The store offers features such as meet-and-greets, health guarantees, microchipping, and potential discounts on pet insurance. While the focus is primarily on puppy sales, the positive reviews suggest a responsible approach aimed at ensuring both the well-being of the puppies and the satisfaction of their new families. For those in the Virginia Beach area looking to purchase a puppy, Pups N Stuff presents itself as a local option worth considering.

May 15, 2025 · Sophia MicheleI think buying a puppy from a store can feel taboo in 2024 when everyone is telling you to adopt, but the reality is- some people just want a puppy or need the ability to have a dog through its youth to make sure it is trained accordingly. Pups n Stuff had a dachshund puppy for sale and within 24 hours after meeting it, my family and I (including our dog) came into the store for a meet and greet. We called ahead of time and Amber made sure that we would have the space and time to meet with the dog without being rushed. My husband ultimately wanted to put a deposit down- whereas I thought we should talk it out over dinner. Amber did not pressure us to make a decision and even guaranteed us that we could have until the morning to make a decision- stating she would hold the dog for us. We decided to put a deposit down regardless- with the agreement that the dog would be able to hang at the store a few extra days since we were going out of town for Thanksgiving. Amber sent us pictures and videos the entire time we were away and even got our pup to start learning his new name. Any questions I had were answered almost immediately (Facebook messenger). It is apparent that Amber and her employees care greatly for these dogs as individuals. Amber wasn’t wrong about our dogs disposition and she knew him and his quirks like the back of her hand. This was reassuring. Also reassuring was the folder of papers that our puppy came with. All shot records, including vaccine stickers. Pet Registry papers that will allow you to look at your dogs pedigree etc. This is not my first rodeo with buying a puppy at a pet store, and so I will say that this felt VERY legit and not icky compared to my other dog who I got one piece of paper stating her birthday and breed. Lastly, in addition to the papers, our dog came with a microchip and a QR code for his collar. The Microchip account offered a hefty discount on pet insurance which we ended up signing up for. The store also provides a health guarantee for the first 7 days after leaving the store for any illness they could’ve caught in the store.(our dog had a clean bill of health this week at his first vet visit). The dog comes with a one year warranty for anything genetic(it’s more complex than that but you can call and ask for clarification. ) All in all our experience was wonderful and I definitely recommend this store.
Dec 07, 2024 · Leanne WolfI visited this store out of my own curiosity and interacted with one of the puppies. I spoke with an employee and learned the following: 1) These puppies come from Amish breeders, supposedly from the West Coast. Anyone working in animal welfare knows the Amish tend to be prolific puppy millers. THESE ARE NOT LOCAL, ETHICALLY BRED PUPPIES. 2) The puppies are shipped with tons of other puppies across the country to different pet stores. I was told by the puppy I interacted with had arrived to the store sick. I was also told that as a precaution, all puppies are given a round of antibiotics once they arrive, prior to being "posted for sale". If these puppies are coming from ethical breeders and sanitary conditions, why do they need a round of antibiotics upon arrival? And why are they arriving to the store sick? 3) There are vets in the area that will not work with this store. I understand that sometimes people prefer to raise a purebred dog beginning at 8 weeks old. Perfectly fine and understandable. But please, PLEASE find a local, ethical breeder.
Feb 05, 2025 · Michelle BenedumLovely store! The puppies are well kept and are very happy! I bought my shipoo last Sunday, and oh he has been great! I had a wonderful experience while at the store. The store associates are VERY knowledgeable and helpful. They do offer financing, and that was a swift n easy process as well. The store is stocked with everything you need to take your little one home!
Aug 13, 2024 · Makayla BernhardtThis review is a very biased review. I went this past Sunday and fell in love with a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel puppy. I didn't place her on hold because I knew that the store would be closed on Monday and I viewed her on Sunday. I called first thing today as soon as the store opened and they told me she was sold. This hurt a lot because I used all day yesterday to prepare for her. Probably very naive of me but this would have been my first puppy purchase. They people are nice. However, I am sad that the puppy I wanted is gone. Update: Since the owner chose to respond to my review with a tone-deaf comment, this situation has escalated beyond what it needed to be. I was simply processing my feelings, and my partner had encouraged me to return on Wednesday. However, given the response, I’ve decided to spend my money elsewhere.
