Pratt’s Pets - Mesa

Very nice pet store where you can find a few pets and lots of stuff! Definitely recommend if you have pets and need items for them. Staff is super nice and very helpful. Also they have a chicken and a pet cat around the store and they’re sooo cute!! 🙂

We got one of our parakeets here and he is so kind and much more tame than the young ones that we bought at petsmart. You have such a great collection of pets that you can pet and interact with before purchase. Tons of feed for pets of all sizes and different kinds from mammals to amphibians the staff is very friendly and everything is well laid out, easy to find. Definitely stop by if you have any pet of any kind and they'll for sure have something for your pet.

I talked to the employee about a bunny I purchased. She said that they rarely sell bunnies that are pregnant. I however was the exception and got a pregnant bunny. They took the babies back that I couldn't house. Now that the babies are separated from the mother, the mother is exhibiting aggressive behavior. Pratts pets will not accept the bunny back even though I am a very upset customer. Warning to all future buyers... the female bunnies are probably pregnant.

I had a great experience at their store. The floor person and the cashier were very knowledgeable and patient when I was purchasing a new family member(guinea pig named Mia). I recommend you pay them a visit before going to pet smart because investing in our community businesses is paramount. Thank you Pratt family!!!

DO NOT BUY PETS HERE EVER. I would also give them a zero if I could. They sell sick pets. They do not have any compassion for animals or pets. I bought 2 love birds and after not even 2 days the first pet became extremely ill and died. I was told to bring the bird in and exchange with zero acknowledgement understanding or apology. After receiving my 2nd bird my other bird became very ill only a few days after. I had to nurse her for 2 days. I have been a bird mom since I was a child and recently lost a personal pet of 8 years around Christmas - following this recent heart break I decided to bring both the birds back for compensation. The assistant manager finally apologized and after asking what was going on she admitted to me almost all their birds were on antibiotics after veterinary care. That they had bought from a bad breeder. Avoid the heartbreak and NEVER SHOP HERE. Shame oh this store for selling customers sick animals. I was a 1st time customer and love bird owner and now I feel I can never own a love bird again due to this unreal experience. Worst Experience Ever. Prayers to these birds as hard as it was to return them to this place. I hope they survive as it is not their fault of this stores inability to handle animals.
