The women were rude and very disrespectful. I waited for 30 mins. First they couldn’t groom him because my rabies vet listed all 4 of my dogs instead of individually. Not on any small print. Then fine I get it fixed and then they tell me if my 8 month old mini pup doesn’t walk to the back they won’t groom them. Where are all of these policies? Dog bigger than mine was picked up and carried while waiting. Bottom line they are racist because no the person was treated as disrespectfully as I was treated. I would rather pay 100.00 before I ever go back to Petco in Kernersville. Danielle was the worst one! Pulling on a mini who isn’t supposed to wear a collar due to restriction on their windpipe. Lack of professionalism at its finest.

Took my goldendoodle there for a light trim. My guy gets trimmed and or bath and brush every two weeks...religiously. I arrived at the scheduled time and they immediately stated that he was matted. I then refused service. This was Saturday March 9th. This is today after his grooming with Petco Greensboro. My advice if Petco is your choice and drive 15 minutes more to Greensboro. Kernersville store is a bad idea. Unprofessional and unexperienced. Trust when I say!!!!! The photo is from today Wednesday the 12th at Petco Wendover Greensboro

Me and the kids were doing some pre-petshopping shopping, to decide what kind of pet we'll be getting in a couple months, and it was a very good experience. The staff was very helpful, and all the animals labels were very helpful too, coz they graded the care difficulty, and life span of the animals, etc. We'll definitely come back to get a new pet soon. 👍👍

They will find ANY reason they can not to groom your dog. They refused to groom our dog DESPITE the fact that she has been groomed by Petco multiple times in her life with NO issue and is on-record having been so. Only because she was pictured in a muzzle in her vet photos, which was a STANDARD PRACTICE for the walk-in clinic she was being seen at.

I had an incredibly disappointing experience at Petco in Kernersville and ultimately decided to cancel my dog’s grooming appointment. From the moment I walked in, the groomer’s attitude made me extremely uncomfortable. When asked what kind of cut I wanted, I requested a teddy bear cut—something I’ve requested many times before at other grooming salons without issue. Instead of simply clarifying what I wanted, the groomer spoke to me in an unbelievably condescending tone and manner, making me feel as if I was being talked down to rather than helped. There’s a way to ask questions professionally, but the way this was handled felt outright belittling. The lack of basic customer service was appalling. When I voiced my concerns, there was no apology, no attempt to make things right—just silence. On top of that, they try to tack on every possible extra charge, including a material fee and a de-matting fee, even though I had brushed my dog thoroughly before arriving to ensure he arrived without any mattes. It felt like they were just looking for excuses to inflate the price to pocket the extra fees as a tip. The entire interaction was so tense and unpleasant that I simply couldn’t bring myself to leave my dog there. Our pets are like family, and I need to feel confident that they’re in good hands. If this is how they treat customers, how am I supposed to trust them with my dog?! To make matters worse, their handling of the dogs is concerning. They insist on using a leash around the neck and pulling them into the back, which puts unnecessary strain on their windpipe. When I asked if my dog could keep his harness on for better support, they flat-out refused and told me if he wouldn’t walk on their leash to the grooming room, they wouldn’t take him at all. A quick glance at their other reviews shows that I’m far from the only one with concerns about their professionalism and treatment of both pets and customers. If you care about your dog’s well-being and want to be treated with basic respect, I STRONGLY suggest taking your business elsewhere.
