Great friendly experience and helped with all I needed!! Also the man who helped me get the turtle and everything needed knew all the facts of turtle care and tips off the top of his head , love it here and will be my forever petco !!!

Decent supply of aquarium fish fresh and saltwater. Has grooming services, everyday pet needs. Wait for the sales. Be weary of ghost shrimp 🍤, infested with horsehair worms. Feeder fish quarantine before feeding them to predators, several times had ich infested fish (pretty much a given with feeder fish).

The Petco in Brooklyn down on Utica ave, is a very BIG and well organized store almost always stocked with whatever your pet needs. The staff there are very friendly and helpful when you can get someone to finally come help you!! There are a few minor issues but overall a very inviting experience. Definitely my go to store when needing supplies and pets!!

I never come to this location and I guess I found out why. I know expecting basic care for the animals is too high, especially for a chain store like Petco, but what I witnessed is atrocious and will be escalating it. How are you not embarrassed?

Visited this store a few times and it was a good experience. Went there in search of a dog for our apartment and ended up getting fishes in stead. The staff was preoccupied so we had to wait but for the most part they were very welcoming and they gave us all the info we needed to get our fish tank up and running. If you’re a first time pet owner, they have ALL the necessary tools you might need for your fish tank. They have a wide variety of merchandise in stores that you can choose from and they are a bit pricey but there’s a lot of affordable items there as well. I bought a 2.5 gallon fish tank kit that came with everything to get the tank up and running, fishes were not included lol. I also bought colored stones and a big sea rock to name a few, a thermostat and additional filter cartridges. They have a wide variety of pets to choose from like fishes as I’ve mentioned, weeks old turtles, chameleons, parrots, bearded dragons, hamsters, salt water fishes, snails, shrimps, frogs and many more. Make sure to give them a visit. Me n my wife visited the Avenue D location and they are open till 9 PM.
