Very happy with the grooming services (we followed talented Caroline from another location) and the store in general. The cashiers always greet people upon entering with a genuinely cheery “hello.” Store manager Jackie is friendly and upbeat and you can tell her employees enjoy working there. That’s cool! My youngest grandchild and I drop by every few weeks to play with the kitties up for adoption, buy a can or two of cat food/ or a toy to donate to the shelters, and to pick up treats for my two dogs. Clean store, well stocked, friendly staff, talented groomers! A winner of a store. Feels different than most privately owned places.

We love being a partner with Nicole and her team! The store is always well stocked, easy to navigate and clean! Our featured felines for adoption are always so spoiled and loved by the staff and customers there! We have been able to find so many homes for the rescued kitties thanks to their partnership with ASHA. As well as provide countless other animals with food, and supplies from their generous donations! Thank you Petco Ellicott City, Nicole and her team! ❤️

Terrible customer service from the grooming manager Jada. Normally, the grooming department does a great job with my dog and I've continued to take him there even after moving further away. His last grooming appointment they did not appear to touch his nails. I called customer service about it and got a call from the grooming manager Jada. I could tell immediately she was not going to try to help. She had a dismissive tone and asked what color his nails were. I said they were black but I've had dogs all my life and still feel they could have cut his nails shorter. She stated she was just trying to educate me. Then she said I could come in this week to see what they could do but that it's already been a week out from his visit (not my fault when I put the complaint in the next day) and there may be new growth at this point. Her suggestion was that we could pay for nail buffing, which I feel I shouldn't have to as I pay $90 for his grooming service that includes the nail trim. My husband took our dog to the appointment we had with her where she stated there was nothing she could do unless we wanted to pay for the nail buffing. He declined and was walking out the door when she mumbled under her breath "don't come back in here then". I don't think she was expecting him to have heard her but he turned around and asked her what she said. She said she was talking about another customer, not him. The general manager Nicole was very nice on the phone but never got back to us regarding this incident. I took my dog to the vet to get his nails trimmed and the before and after pics are below. I will not going to this location for services any longer.

Jaqlyn the manager and Juliette the sales associate in the fish supplies department at Petco were awesome sauce. I'm sure all the employees are like that. I had a bad experience with the current manager at my local Petsmart on Baltimore National Pike by Aldi's, that I have gone to for years, she ripped my kid off on an item that was on salefor her dog, and the manager would not honor the deal that was cleary posted, and even the cashier said it was suppose honored. Again, staff was great at Petsmart in the fish supplies department, but it was the manager who worked that Friday on Dec. 20th who will make me never to return, after the way she treated my kid and talked about me badly to the cashier; while she thought I was out of ear shot (cashier was great too) after making my kid overpay on a sale item, and would not honor what was posted. I went and made her refund kids money. Needless to say, after going to Petco in Ellicott City, Petsmart will never see my money again. I thank Juliette and Jaqlyn who not only made my experience memorable in a great way, but they spoiled my kids fish and dog rotten with love, attention and knowledge of their field making me very happy that my kid was happy! I will be going there from now on.

Jaidah, the Groomer at the Ellicott City location has given my precious babies the best haircut, by far. They truly look like little miniature schnauzers now. Thank you for taking such good care of Gretta & Fritz (and they LOVED their pretty bow & handsome tie you made for them! 😊) when they are in your care. 🐶 ❤️ 🦴
