Bad grooming experience! I specifically asked groomer (Joey) to not shave off my dog as he wasn’t “badly”matted. My dog has beautiful fur and all he needed was a trim. I wish these groomers had more patience. Former groomer Caroline was the best but unfortunately she no longer works there. I’ve inserted before and after pictures.

No stars should be given to this place they botched up my dogs hair cut and then had 5 people on top of her giving her more anxiety the groomer did not know how to handle my dog and messed up her tail left her face undone cut her in anus then tried to make me pay for a bath only I can’t fathom such irresponsible people and with no remorse or compassion I got no apology if my dog was difficult from the beginning then stop and don’t further irritate her I’d respect this groomer more if would have said she didn’t feel comfortable grooming my dog . To answer the petco owner back in my review I addressed it and no one was helpful thankfully I did not pay for the service but they did try to charge me for the bath ,it was not until we addressed how unhappy we were bc the grooming wasn’t completed then the groomer said ok we don’t have to pay but we cant come back fire that groomer and hire someone better

I went for a grooming appointment early this morning with any styler for 7:30am. There was some system notes from 2017 (when my dog was a puppy as he was born in 2/2017) that he didn’t like his back legs touched or paws cleaned. Unfortunately because my best groomer (who owns a business is on maternity leave from private practice which I met originally at a Petco in Staten Island) I decided to go to Clark Petco Grooming near my house. The groomer read the system notes and shared he should stay private because of those remarks. My dog is now 8 years old btw. I told her those remarks are old but she said she might not be able to groom him if he behaves that way. I opted for a bath and trim around face, paws and hygiene areas. At the end she said he should stay private but commented she was able to do his nails and paws and face. I tried to rebook an appointment with a different stylist since this one had no patience and off putting. Now, I’m unable to book a grooming appointment via online because of HER experience. Yet, nothing went wrong. No wonder the reviews to this location is bad but you shouldn’t block online booking for paying customers when there was no issue and your groomer simply lacked competency in assessing whether system comments from when a dog is a puppy are still true. 0 out of 0. The location has convenient parking and the store is large and has quite a variety of your pets needs. They have specials everywhere and there is always an associate who will assist you when needed. An associate named Steve who was giving out samples for Just Food for Dogs was friendly and gave me information on their product and information on dogs that was delightful. My recent visit they added a animal hospital to the establishment which made the store slightly smaller but doesn’t really make a huge difference.

I’ve never been turned down from buying a fish before. It’s a fish! They ask you all these questions about your tank and how many fish you have in your tank. No other pet shop asks all these questions. The customer infront of me also go turned down. Don’t sell fish if you have so many stupid rules.
