Petco

I've been going to this store for a couple of months, and first off they have a lot of variety of items. They have a good selection of dog/cat toys and food, fish tanks and equipment, and other vivariums and reptile stuff. I mainly come here for their fish department though, and it's cool to see all new fish they have stocked. I've bought neon tetras, galaxy raspboras, a few different species of cory catfish, a dwarf sucker fish, and cherry shrimp from this store. I've also bought most of my aquarium stuff here including an auto fish feeder, an air pump, a 5g tank, and multiple plants for my tanks. Almost all the fish I've bought here have survived the shock of traveling, and are still happy and healthy today. I have never participated, but I also know that this location does puppy training/behavior classes that you can sign up for which I thought was cool. Every time I come here though the staff is always really nice and helpful. They're also pretty knowledgeable when it comes to the fish, but please do your research before coming here to buy a fish. That being said, I don't think I've ran into a single employee here that was rude. I love this store!

Small (like, very small! Super narrow aisles) but convenient for the time of night I needed cat food. In its own parking lot near the diner. It was a quick in and out for me. The cashier seemed normal. Notable because that’s a lot to ask for these days.

Placed the same day delivery with them around 2-3pm yesterday. The package never arrived. Of course they asked for a tip at the checkout. Tipped them. Escalated the case to their Instagram account. The package was delivered today at 3pm by a driver who didn’t speak any English. Tried to tell him to leave the package with a concierge, the delivery guy mumbled something and ended my call twice. Thankfully, he managed to get into the building and left the package by my door, as I was away. Petco, don’t offer the service you can’t provide. Remove that “tips” option until you guys are on point. And lastly, at least deliver your products clean when you already messed up the order. My cat treats lid was covered in dust. Called their customer service. They were quick to offer that tip reimbursement and another $10 account credit “for inconvenience “. Earned that extra star!

Nice, clean, friendly employees! Along with a nice variety of animals!

The staff was not helpful, and I noticed that prices here are higher compared to other Petco stores. I went to buy dog diapers today the shelf tag said $22, but I was charged $32 at checkout. I expected better service and transparency. Only go there when I have no choice. Many times I was charged twice for things or charged and they were never put in the bag .
