Grooming is the WORST! DO NOT bring your pet here. Dropped my golden off for a bath and trim she has been there 2x prior for services and they did an ok job… nothing spectacular. My Dog RAN off her leash and out the door! That should have been the first indication that she was not being treated well there. I asked how long they thought she would be and the woman (groomer) said a few hours that she would text me… I got a text about an hour later saying she was done. 9:10 drop off 10:12 text. I called to let them know I couldn’t be there right away and they were so rude and stated she couldn’t be in the kennel any longer..groomers normally work with your schedule or at least give you adequate time to pick up and plan accordingly. Or a heads up phone call. Just demanded “come get your dog!” “ we aren’t dog day care!” Then when I clearly got upset on the phone proceeded to cut me off repeatedly and hang up on me. Not PETCOS policy of “ customer first, ALWAYS.” As on their policy and ethics literature. I immediately drove there (45 min drive ) to get my pup. I was greeted by two unfriendly and clearly angry women who proceeded to tell me it would be $109.00 and I couldn’t even SEE my dog until I paid. Basically holding my dog hostage when questioned how could they give her a groom in an hour or less when the 7 point exam itself is supposed to take 15min, bath, cut etc. I was told “I’m quick.” When I told them I would not be paying for any services until I saw my dog and was satisfied with services they said they would be calling the police - which I gladly invited! When the police arrived they said they MUST release my animal and they agreed to take $5 off my bill for me being unsatisfied. They did not do anything asked including her coat length, sanitary areas, coat looked uneven in spots and choppy. Completely horrible cut, still matted in spots which was the main concern I addressed behind her ears and sanitary area. PETCO should be ashamed they hire these people who are clearly not PROFESSIONALS or have an animals best interest in mind. I reached out to customer care to report this all as soon as I paid and left. I would like to know what is PETCOS policy on a unsatisfied customer? Why only take $5 off my bill? So I went to Petco at thier bridgeport ct store this past tuesday to buy some Fish. So I asked one of the girls for 8 chinese algea eaters and i do t know why but she went and got the manager. So the manager comes over and wants to know what size tank i have and mistakenly i say a 55 gallón tank, then at that same instance i say oh in sorry its a 210 gallón tank. So she asks me again you have a 55 gallón tank. So I say to her i made a mistake its a 210 gallón. So she says i dont believe you. Now shes trying to insinúate that i am a lier. Then she says to me do I have a picture of my tank. Then i tel her that i dont carry around a picture of my tank.then she says to me im the manager of this store and im not selling you any fish. By this time in very iratated at her so i tell her i really dont care who you are. So she tells me to leave the store.keep in mind that even if i had a 55 gallón tank the fish versus the size of the tank are well below the number of fish that i would be able to acomódate in the tank.so now i called their Corporate office and the lady that attended me told me she wanted the number of the store. So i go back in the store while i had Customer service in the line. And get that info. Then the customer service person asks me for the managers ñame so i go back in the store and ask one of the persons from the store and she tells me her first ñame the i ask her for her last ñame as well so she calls the manager again, now the manager does not want to give me her ñame, all this is happening while the person in the phone can here whats going on.so i leave the store and the person in the store says that she was going to escálate the investigation. So now in waiting to hear from them. Pending what happens i will. See what imgoing to do. I give this store a -0 for the way the manager insistes that i am a liar and terrible service. The worst thing I took my puppy to have his hair cut and what they did was make him an evil that lacks of real professionalism if everyone knows that you can’t cut my hair to these dogs as well as they are going to cut it so the worst decision with this company that lacks of professionalism they offer a service that they can’t do or that they don’t totally regret the evil they did to my dog really don’t take your pet there if I had known this I would never have done it so horrible what they do It’s sad to see how they can deliver your pet to you like this and pay for a service that’s a disappointment. It’s a horrible experience. I really hate this. It’s a lack of professionalism and ethics. The worst thing, I would never choose a cut like that for my dog ever And when my dog came out he trembled and cried my dog is super friendly he is never like that so many times I cut his hair and they had never left it to me so they left it like a rat I used this location because we are on vacation at a family house and it was something close that we had but the experience is missing if there was the option of putting stars I could not because they really don’t deserve anything.

I had the worst experience I’ve ever had at a store last night at Petco Bridgeport, and I’d like to be contacted by the District and Regional Manager. Ryan at the register couldn’t be bothered to help me get the price of 3 dog beds I brought up to the register. ( I had planned on buying atleast 2 of them) I wanted him to scan the items because I had gotten most of them from the sale bin. He was annoyed I wanted him To scan the items and told me that “The Price is on the tags” to which I had to tell him, “No it’s not the price on the tags some are on sale” he seemed frustrated and again, rather then scan the items like I wanted, he said some of my items were “$20 off” I had to ask him again, “Can you just scan the items, because what is $20 off? “ I couldn’t believe that I literally had to ask a cashier to do his job, which is literally, TO SCAN ITEMS. I ended up buying 2 of the 3 items which totaled $70, but I was so disgusted by the whole interaction after getting in my car, that I turned back around and returned the dog beds 15 min later because I didn’t want to give Ryan the satisfaction of getting any business from me. I also suspect Ryan is some sort of manager which makes it even worse. Brick n Mortar is a dying business and every customer that enters a store these days should be valued. I couldn’t believe that a cashier who might even be in charge couldn’t be bothered to provide bare minimum service. How disappointing. I look forward to hearing back from someone .

My only issue with this store was the grooming. I have a Toy Yorkie. I took him to be groomed and when I picked him up I was told that they weren't able to sanitize his area because he wouldn't let them do it, that he didn't like it. My dog is four pounds, what do you mean that he wouldn't let you. He didn't smell like he was freshly groomed. I was charged full price. I will never ever use this branch for grooming again. The ladies in the immunization area were wonderful, caring people.
