Petco

Went in there to look for a turtle for my daughters. Was told they did not sell baby turtles due to some law which is fine. They only had one kind of turtles, not much of choice. The store is clean and well kept. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly.

Because of one employee alone, I loved my experience! Kymani was such a pleasant person to interact with when looking for information on finding a pet :) When I first came into the establishment, I had low hopes because I saw a few employees look my way while just standing idle in the grooming area, but none of them acknowledged me? They didn't make me feel very welcome, So it was a breath of fresh air when Kymani asked if I needed help with anything. Will definitely be going back to interact with him alone! He made the experience 10x better!

I am 67 years old and started out in the hobby when I was 10 years old. Most of those years I have owned fish tanks. Braden helped me buy fish today, and Braden was great. Braden's knowledge of the aquarium hobby is equal to or better than only 6 store owners that I have known in my lifetime. The gal at the register was very helpful also. Great attitudes! I purchased fish to stock my 10 gallon and addition to my 9 gallon Fluval. I have been going to this store for a year since I have been in Buford. The fish stock is excellent, better than any Petco I have seen in California, and in my opinion, better than your competition down the street. Thank you!

My husband and I just walked out after waiting 20 minutes for help in the fish section only to finally have a super rude employee tell us that she didn't want to sell us the fish we came for. All of the fish we had were purchased from recommendations of a different helpful Petco employee last month. The employee tonight was so rude. I will never ever shop with Petco again. Such a nasty way to treat customers.

Update. Petco customer service did not offer any solution. Them commenting on my post sounds like they care, but they don’t . It is just for appearance. Original post. “ We had a very bad experience today with Vetco. It was not our first time here, not first time at a vet either , but today was bad! I feel like they did not treat my dog right. I have a rescue staffordshire terrier, the most docile and calm dog. Not a mean bone in her body. Never heard her growl or show teeth. You can take a bone from her, she will let you. We walk in and the vet tech SKY and one more girl grab my dog and start holding her so the vet can do the vaccination shots. No greeting, no petting , no treat, just start holding her down. Usually you can give my dog shots without holding her down, she lets you do it. Once they grabbed my dog starts to panic. Then they decide to put a muzzle on her for no reason. She is not aggressive, that muzzle made her more anxious. I trusted them with my dog but they did not know what they were doing. After like 5-10 min they said they could not finish the services, could not give her heart worms blood test, because “ she was not cooperative “ I agreed to pay $149 for the shots and a heart worm test package. They denied us the test and prescription for the heart worms preventatives , but instead of saying to comeback and complete the services, they changed my package prorate services at a higher rate and said to pay $142 and go to a full service vet for the rest. Had to go a full service vet to get prescription for the heartworm preventative.
