Came here to buy fish for my aquarium. Initially talked with Abraham who gave me a run down of which fish were good together. Some of their fish were on sale (buy 3 get 1 free) so after making my selection, Alex helped me catch some fishes. She was great! Ended up getting 4 neon tetras, 4 orange tetras, and 4 baby endlers. After acclimation, got them in my tank and they seemed fine. Checked on them after 2 hours and noticed 1 neon was pale and appeared sickly. I brought him back to exchange and Abraham tests my water and tells me Nitrite level was bit high so he couldn't give me another one. [Thinking to self: this is odd since all the fish are in the same tank (including the baby endlers). If water toxicity is really the reason for this 1 adult tetra to be sick - wouldn't they all the fish have this appearance especially the babies since they would be more susceptible to unfavorable water conditions?] And since it was a sale, the returned fish was the "free" one so it didn't qualify for a refund (except a few cents for the tax). Then he tells me that if I'm getting fish for a new tank that I should only start with 3 or 4 fish at a time. Wait a sec!! You mean... he couldn't have said this earlier when I was in the store for like 20 mins selecting/buying all these fish. He was even behind Alex at the checkout. Despite this poor experience, this Petco has a better fish selection than the Concord location. And overall lower pricing then the local Aquarium store.

Great neighborhood Petco packed with all the essentials. Still kind of cool to gaze at all the fish in well-kept aquariums! It's staffed by wonderful staff that are overworked and underpaid. Beware of concrete bumpers in front of store if your vehicle sits low. Great store though and appreciate it being in the neighborhood.

The level of service is great here and the employees are super friendly. Especially Abraham who took the time to show my toddler some of the pets there!

This place is great and everyone here is super informational! Special Shout out to BRE!!! She helped us set up our two new ball python thanks showed us some afresh things around the store and was able to reference to recourses from her personal collection of animal information! I LOVED THAT !!! I hope she decides to own her own Petco franchise one day!!

The associates / workers are friendly. I was greeted by the cashier as I walked in. Another associate helped me with what I wanted to get (gold fish) with a friendly attitude.
