If I could give the “groomer” Hanna a zero I would. I brought my 1 year old dog into get a bath and nail trim. When I picked him up she said she didn’t clip his nails because he growled at her. My mother and I were shocked. He NEVER growls at people. I asked her if he showed his teeth when he growled. She said “Well it was a really quiet growl” I said “So he was “talking” to you and I laughed. She was going to charge me for the nail trim I told her she better not. When I got my dog home I went to pet his head and he flinched away. He NEVER did that before going there. His nails were all chipped and broken. She was mean and rough. I think Hanna should be fired.

I ahve gotten 2 hansters from petck now, both of which died within a few months. IT has become very clear that it is not due to my personal setup (which has been confirmed by an animal hospital) and it ahs everything to doe ith this stires inability to know anything about their pets including age, or a sickness the animal may have. If you want to buy a pet, DO NOT GET IT FROM HERE.

The wait to just check out was silly. Oh, I’m sorry. Let me be more specific. There were three different employees. None of them were at the register. So I just stood staring at two blank registers for nearly 10 minutes.

I have had and maintained a healthy 65 gallon aquarium for at least 15 years - no problems with the health of the fish - ever. 2 weeks ago I purchased a bunch of fish from the barre vt petco store. Within 3 days, most of them died and many of my existing fish, which I have had for several years, were dead. I am working on recovery now but it is basically starting over, which does not make me very happy. The fish in your stores need to be treated and tested and NOT SOLD if they are sick. I will never ever purchase from PETCO again and I'll warn others as well.

Staff is very friendly and talkative, most seem to know a lot about the animals, Animals are treated the petco standard: just barely well enough to live and sell, they seem to be out of animals often but I guess thats a normal thing. Fun to go in and pet the cats occasionally.
