Just left there on a Sunday morning around 10:30. There's a black woman behind the counter and I'm not prejudiced. She was extremely rude seeing me and my wife come in didn't greet us. Never came to ask us what we needed. Any help at all. Matter of fact nobody did but she was running the counter and when we came up to the counter with fish, food and other products that we had purchased she just walked away and didn't say she was going to do anything or she'd be back in a minute. Just walked away. Went outside into the parking lot and then came back in a couple of minutes later we had already left. I left my stuff in the counter so you blew that sail. You need to get rid of that girl

Pet Supermarket Introduce

For pet owners residing in Brandon, Florida, and searching within the "Pet Store Near Me" category, Pet Supermarket located at 845 E Bloomingdale Ave #1003 presents itself as a retail option for various pet-related needs. This introduction aims to provide an objective overview of the store based on the available information, which includes contact details and direct customer feedback. It is important to note that the following description is derived solely from the provided reviews and does not incorporate any external or unverified information.

Based on the limited information available, assessing the overall environment of the Pet Supermarket in Brandon is challenging. One customer review describes an incident that occurred inside the store, focusing on an interaction with a staff member at the counter. This review details a perceived lack of attentiveness and rudeness, where the staff member allegedly did not greet the customers, offer assistance, or complete their transaction in a timely manner. This account suggests a potentially negative in-store experience for at least one pair of customers. However, without further information or contrasting reviews, it is difficult to generalize about the typical environment or customer service standards throughout the store.

Regarding the services offered at this Pet Supermarket location, the information is also limited. The fact that the customers in one review were purchasing fish, food, and other products indicates that the store functions as a retail outlet for pet supplies. The mention of an "aquatics" section and the sale of gouramis suggests that the store offers live animals, specifically fish, as part of its inventory. However, the negative experience reported by another customer concerning the health of the fish purchased raises concerns about the quality control and care of the animals in this department. This customer stated that the four gouramis they bought were infected with ich, a parasitic disease, and alleged that a staff member misidentified the symptoms as mere "markings." This suggests a potential lack of knowledge or transparency regarding the health of the aquatic life being sold.

Features of this Pet Supermarket, based on the reviews, include the availability of aquatic pets such as gouramis and a range of pet-related products, including fish food and other unspecified items. However, the conflicting customer experiences highlight potential issues. The negative review concerning the sick fish also mentioned that the in-store tanks were observed to be dirty and contained dead fish. If accurate, this indicates a significant problem with the maintenance and hygiene of the aquatic environment within the store, which could have serious implications for the health of the fish being sold and the overall impression of the store's standards.

Currently, there is no promotional information available for this specific Pet Supermarket location in Brandon within the provided data. Pet Supermarket, as a chain, often engages in various promotional activities, such as discounts on specific brands, loyalty programs, and seasonal sales. However, without any mention of such offers in the given reviews, it is not possible to comment on any current or past promotions at this particular store. Local customers interested in potential deals or discounts are advised to contact the store directly at (813) 661-8600 or +1 813-661-8600 to inquire about any ongoing offers or to visit the Pet Supermarket website for general company-wide promotions that might be applicable.

The customer reviews provided paint a concerning picture of the Pet Supermarket at 845 E Bloomingdale Ave in Brandon, FL. One review details an instance of alleged rudeness and unhelpful behavior from a staff member at the checkout counter, leading to the customer abandoning their purchase. This raises questions about the customer service standards at this location. The second review presents a more serious issue regarding the health and care of the aquatic life sold at the store. The customer's claim of purchasing diseased fish, coupled with the observation of dirty tanks and dead fish, suggests potential negligence in the maintenance of the aquatics section and a lack of accurate information provided by staff regarding the health of the animals. These negative experiences should be carefully considered by local pet owners looking for a "Pet Store Near Me," especially those interested in purchasing fish or other aquatic life.

Given the serious nature of the issues raised in the customer reviews, particularly concerning the health of the animals and the cleanliness of their environment, potential customers may want to exercise caution and consider these points before visiting this Pet Supermarket location. While the store does offer pet supplies and aquatic animals, the reported negative experiences regarding customer service and the health of the fish are significant red flags. It would be prudent for prospective customers to perhaps visit the store themselves to assess the environment and the condition of the animals firsthand, or to seek recommendations from other local pet owners before making a purchase, especially of live animals.

In conclusion, based solely on the provided customer feedback, the Pet Supermarket at 845 E Bloomingdale Ave in Brandon, FL, appears to have faced criticism regarding both customer service and the health and maintenance of its aquatic animals. While it functions as a retail store offering pet supplies and fish, the negative experiences reported by customers are important considerations for local pet owners searching for a "Pet Store Near Me." Without additional information or more positive feedback, it is difficult to provide a more favorable or comprehensive overview of this particular location. Potential customers are encouraged to conduct their own due diligence before visiting or making purchases.

Bought 4 gouramis from this location, all had ich(white parasitic spots on fins). Staff member lied and told me those were just “markings”. Well markings don’t spread to the rest of my fish. In store tanks are dirty and have dead fish floating in them. Looks like I’ll have to spend money fixing a problem that should’ve been handled by staff before fish were cleared for sale.

Love this location! This is my go to pet store. The employees start to know you and gave me some great advice for my cat that was stressed out and the food for my dogs. The rewards program they have is AWESOME- one of the main reasons I go here to shop. The store is always clean, you can donate to local shelters and they have cats from local shelters there to adopt. I like when it's adoptable pets there instead of breeding ones. Good for them! Employees are always nice here too!

Went for one items and decided to just look at the pets they had. There were 3 kittens, each one had gunk in and under its eyes. One baby seemed to not be able to fully open one eye. One of the birds tail feathers were soo messed up. Ferrets had multiple piles of poop in their enclosure and flies flying all in it. Do better Pet Supermarket.
