Nahacky's Aquarium

Have been a few times, initially for their huge selection of aquatic plants. Bought a pair of fish and one didn’t make it during acclimation unfortunately. I felt so guilty so I went back and asked for advice as that had never happened to me before. I was given a replacement fish and told exactly what he’d do for a perfect acclimation. Followed his steps and the fish was perfect and never showed signs of being stressed! All the fish even handled the transition from gravel to sand very well too! Extremely kind and helpful. Thank you! They have lots of things for saltwater and freshwater tanks and are very knowledgeable to any questions I’ve asked each visit.

Supremely well stocked with everything you could need for either starting a new tank of continuing in the hobby. Where this place really shines is in the knowledge of the associates and their willingness to help.

Have had a 29 gallon tank with a variety of fresh water fish for over 10 years. Went in to have them check aquarium water and bought some fish, plants and supplies. This was the first time I ever had a problem with ick, it affected my entire tank. I'm positive it came from either the fish or plants they sold me. Thought I would do the right thing and alert them so they can treat their fish and plants and spoke with Katie. She acted like didn't care, and gave attitude and poor customer service. Through out the years buying from them, I've had fish die within a week and I never complained but this was the last straw. I won't be going back, plenty of other pet shops.

Wonderful aquarium store! Katie is great, the staff is very knowledgeable, and most are very friendly. They are expensive, but you find things there that not other tropical fish stores in the area have. My issue is that even after having your water tested by their very knowledgeable staff, and they tell you your water is perfect, if a fish you got from them less than a week ago dies, they are very robotic about a strict 48 hour fish return policy, especially when their prices for fish are quite high compared to other tropical fish stores in the area. I get the higher prices when dealing with a high quality elite tropical fish store, like this is, but I would expect that if your customers are willing to pay your prices, they should get better support when one of your expensive fish dies, in a perfectly good aquarium water according to your staff, less than four days after purchase. Other tropical fish stores in the area give you seven days returns for the same fish, sold at a cheaper price. Aside from that, I would highly recommend Nahacky's if your budget does not care about fish warranty.
