I bought a beta fish from here he didn’t look to healthy to start with but I bought him just hoping I could save him.(I did) but I had saw another beta who was in a glass mason jar with a rusted metal lid holes punched in. No joke this fish was upside down floating at the top. And me and my wife went over to check out with the first beta we had found and I had to ask I was like hey I need to know what’s wrong with that beta he straight looks like he’s dieing. As fast as I said that both of the employees jumped onto my ass like he’s not dieing he’s fine. They do that in the wild when laying on leafs. All I said was like yeah if there’s a leaf! If I could give 0 this place definitely deserves it I’ve never heard anything good at all about this place was a mistake even walking in and looking around. Beta is chill though thank god!

Welcome to Carousel Pets Inc

Welcome to Carousel Pets Inc, your local "Pet Store Near Me" located at 2550 E Morris Blvd #1, Morristown, TN 37813, USA. You can reach them at (423) 587-9173 or their mobile number +1 423-587-9173. Based on the available customer reviews, Carousel Pets Inc appears to offer pet adoptions and a variety of pet-related products. However, the feedback presents a mixed picture of the store's animal care and customer service.

One customer recounted a negative experience concerning the care of betta fish. They purchased one that "didn't look too healthy to start with" out of a desire to save it, which they thankfully did. However, this same customer observed another betta fish housed in a glass mason jar with a rusted metal lid with punched holes, found floating upside down at the top, appearing to be dying. When the customer inquired about this fish while checking out with the first betta, they reported that two employees reacted defensively, insisting the fish was fine and that this behavior ("laying on leafs") occurs in the wild. The customer countered that there was no leaf present. This reviewer expressed extreme dissatisfaction, stating that they had never heard anything good about the store and regretted even entering, ultimately wishing they could give a zero-star rating. This review raises significant concerns about the living conditions and apparent health of at least some of the animals, as well as the dismissive response from the employees.

In contrast, another customer shared a positive experience, stating that they "adopted our little Minnie Doxie (grand puppy) from here and it was the best experience." They expressed great love for the adopted puppy, who was thriving after a couple of months. This reviewer acknowledged that pet stores sometimes receive negative feedback but argued that the animals in these stores also need homes. They also mentioned that expecting perfection from any adoption process is unrealistic, drawing parallels to minor issues encountered when adopting from shelters. They noted that their adopted puppy, Harry, had a respiratory issue (not kennel cough) but was doing well, attributing such health issues in stores and shelters to people handling the animals. Overall, this customer had a "great experience," despite the puppy being "expensive," and appreciated receiving the puppy's papers and having access to a vet (though they were not local). They thanked Carousel Pets for the excellent experience.

Considering these contrasting reviews, it's challenging to definitively describe the environment of Carousel Pets Inc. One review hints at potentially inadequate living conditions for some animals (the betta in the mason jar), while the other suggests a standard pet store setting where adoptions occur. The mention of a respiratory issue in the adopted puppy could indicate a typical pet store environment where animals might be more susceptible to common illnesses due to being in close proximity to others and handled by multiple people.

The services offered by Carousel Pets Inc appear to include:

  • The sale/adoption of various pets, including dogs (a Doxie was adopted) and fish (betta fish were available). They likely offer other small animals as well, although not explicitly mentioned.
  • The provision of necessary paperwork for adopted animals.
  • Potentially, access to a recommended vet for local customers.
  • The sale of pet supplies, although this is implied rather than directly stated in the reviews (it's typical for a pet store that sells animals to also sell related supplies).

Features of Carousel Pets Inc, based on the reviews, include:

  • Availability of adoptable pets, contributing to pet welfare by finding them homes.
  • Staff who, in at least one instance, were perceived as knowledgeable and helpful regarding the adoption process.
  • Potentially higher prices for adopted animals, which might come with benefits like paperwork and vet access.

However, a concerning feature highlighted by one review is the potentially poor living conditions of some animals and a defensive reaction from staff when these conditions are questioned.

For local users in Morristown, TN, looking for a "Pet Store Near Me" where they might adopt a pet, Carousel Pets Inc is an option. One customer had a very positive adoption experience. However, it is essential to be aware of the concerns raised by another customer regarding the care of some animals and the customer service they received when addressing these concerns. Potential customers may want to visit the store to assess the environment and the health of the animals themselves before making a decision.

To gain a more comprehensive understanding of Carousel Pets Inc, you might consider contacting them directly at (423) 587-9173 or +1 423-587-9173 to inquire about their current animals available for adoption, their policies on animal care, and the range of pet supplies they offer. Visiting the store in person could also provide valuable insight into their environment and how they care for their animals.

In conclusion, Carousel Pets Inc in Morristown, TN, offers pet adoptions and likely sells pet supplies. Customer experiences are varied, with one praising the adoption process and the health of their adopted puppy, while another expressed serious concerns about the living conditions of some animals and the staff's response to these concerns. Local users should consider these differing perspectives when deciding whether to visit Carousel Pets Inc for their pet needs.

We adopted our little Minnie Doxie (grand puppy) from here and it was the best experience. We love him to pieces. We have had him a couple of months and he is thriving. A lot of people bad mouth pet stores but these guys need to be adopted too. And if you are expecting perfection from any adoption process you will regret that. We’ve adopted from shelters, had minor issues. Pet stores same. Harry did have a respiratory issue, NOT kennel cough, and he’s doing great. That kind of thing happens in stores and shelters because people want to hold and touch all the animals. In any case, great experience. He was expensive, but we have his papers and, if we were local, access to an amazing vet. We aren’t local so he is with our amazing vet and still all is well. Thank you Carousel Pets for the excellent experience.

Everything looked clean to what I could see they was busy, they had a lot of animals to see and to choose from. I have some photos of my visit today. The lady working acted nice but I did not talk to her others was speaking with her. We usual just stop by the see the animals and pet them and visit.

I had went in to the pet store earlier today found a dog I fell in love with. Came home talked to my husband about it, we called back to the store and the lady (I believe her name was Casey) was rude on the phone and almost caused me not to go back and purchase this dog but I had literally fell in love with it (and I’m not a dog person) I thought it was a male so we asked her to hold him until we got back there about 30-45 minutes we go in to the pet store to get the dog and I go back to the window and the “male” was not the one I wanted. The one I wanted ended up being a female. No big deal, I didn’t care I fell in love with her. I tell her the brown one (that I thought was a male) was the one I wanted, not the white one. We buy the dog and leave. My brother was in the store and heard the cashiers talking crap about me after I was gone. Good thing I’d already left the store because no matter how much I fell in love with the dog I wouldn’t have bought it after someone talking crap about me. Saying I demanded the female. Put better signs up so people know what dogs they’re looking at! AND you work in customer service so the next time you want to trash talk someone make sure they don’t have family still in the store! That was my first and LAST purchase at that store!

Do NOT buy any pets from them. I took 3 baby bunnies to sell them. I walked past the store 2 days later and saw 2 still there. One wasn’t moving. I went in and picked it up and was absolutely appalled at the shape that baby was in. I took them both to the counter and told them I was taking them back home with me. This baby did not even make it to the car before it died in my arms. The last picture is the day before I took the bunnies to the pet store. The others is what this pitiful baby looked like 2 days later when I saw it
