I absolutely adore this place and the staff!! You can tell they truly care about these birds and are extremely knowledgeable. I am very impressed with them. We drove a long way to be able to meet these sweet birds and have no regrets! Beautiful, smart, well cared for birds. They also had cages of many sizes, tons of toys, and food. If you are looking for a bird to add to your family, this is the place to go❤️ I highly recommend them! 🦜 Also, their Facebook page has updated posts of new birds, often😊 We are very happy with our choice🥰

Had a wonderful time here! “Adventure” definitely belongs in this store’s name. Betty, Donna, and Joe were all so informative and helpful. I came to play with the birds and learn more about their care needs, and I got a ton of good advice on picking the right bird, how to train them, and reading their body language. The birds were clearly well cared for, the individual attention they get shows in their friendly behavior. Prices were lower than I’d expected, especially for the supplies. I ended up staying three hours because the birds and people here were so lovely to interact with. At the end of the day they even gave me beautiful feathers for my collection. I will definitely be back, and am glad to know a good place to get a bird when the time is right. Well worth the long trip. I recommend everyone check this place out!

We brought our 6 year old here to get his new best friend after the sudden loss of his parakeet. The whole staff was very patient, kind, knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. They handle all the birds so they’re very tame and have a wide selection from finches all the way up to some of the biggest macaws as well as a wide selection of cages and feed. I highly recommend this place from new bird owners to experienced as they will have the right bird for you!

I'm from Washington State. In 2019 I was visiting KY & TN and about to head home when I noticed Adventure Birds of Bon Aqua (ABoBA) so my girlfriend & I decided to stop in. I was looking for a baby lovebird. They didn't have any at the shop but they knew of a local breeder who'd recently hatched out some birds so they made a call for me and found what I wanted. The breeder was a bit under the weather (this was pre-covid) but otherwise, the timing was perfect- the bird was still being hand-fed and had a black beak (indicative of a very young lovebird), which is exactly what I wanted. ABoBA threw in some food & a hand-feeding syringe, I bought a travel cage, some baby bird formula, and I was on my way. I drove back to Washington nonstop with my new buddy resting in a beanie on my lap. I had to stop every couple of hours to mix some formula for the feedings, but the trip went well. It has been three years now, the bird is wonderful. She's very smart, learns tricks very quickly (clicker training works wonders), I taught her to fetch so sometimes she finds & brings things to me, she's strong, healthy, and tips the scale at 57 grams so she's on the larger side for lovebirds. Her feathers are thick, coloring is vibrant, and she LOVES napping in the palm of my hand. It's unfortunate that I live so far away because I would love to buy another. If you're in the area, stop by the shop. They have a great selection and will happily do what they can to get you set up with a wonderful pet. Betty knew I lived on the other side of the country and would never be back in their store, but she still went above and beyond to set me up perfectly with exactly what I was looking for.
