My Essence was injured over a month ago by a feral cat that scratched her in the face. I was so happy that my vet referred VOS to us. They were able to save her eyes, and she is making a full recovery. Dr. Marlowe and his team were excellent. I'm so "thankful" for them all. Please, if you need help with ophthalmology for your furr baby, this is the place to call. After I posted this review within a 10 days , Essence was put down. Upon the autopsy, it showed that she had several mini strokes and would never have the quality of life that she once had. She was not able to understand command calls in which I called had her seen again by VOS. I was told.this is normal. I'm sure that she was just another dog to VOS, but to my family, she was a family member. We .it's Essence, and even though it has been almost 3 hrs, she will always be in our hearts. If you have to get any pet procedures please please please do your research, not just reviews, ask questions how will my family act after this procedures? Are there any warning signs to look out for? How long will the procedure take? Etc.

Dr. Marlo and the staff at Veterinary Ophthamology Services (VOS) in Chattanooga, TN are absolutely THE BEST!!! I would recommend them to ANYONE! When our 6yr old dog Cooper lost his vision for reasons no one could quite pinpoint, we were referred to VOS. Immediately upon meeting Dr. Marlo and discussing Cooper's symptoms, he diagnosed him with a rare auto-immune disorder. A biopsy confirmed his suspicions and at last - after years of questions - we had a true answer to what was going on with our baby!! While it was too late to save his eyesight, MUCH MORE importantly, VOS saved Cooper's life!!!! Had they not been so knowledgeable and truly listened when we talked to them, Cooper might have lost his life to this disease. Instead, they are helping us fight this through medication and with such great care, walked with us and held our hand through the eventual removal of his eyes, which had become medically necessary. The folks at VOS could not be more caring and compassionate, welcoming us in - not just as a patient - but like a member of their family!! We can never thank them enough for all they've done, for giving us many, many more years of our sweet Cooper to love on!!!! He is so happy now and has recovered beautifully... We love VOS so much we will continue to take Cooper to their office even without eyes, just to keep tabs on his disorder... We trust them that much! --Ashley

The staff is very kind and knowledgeable. Dr Marlo is very thorough and takes time to explain medical issues. Buddy, the dog, liked them too!
