I write this with tears in my eyes. Tears of gratefulness as this place saved my pets life! My kitty, Arya, has a strange growth appear on her toe overnight, which doubled in size in less than 48 hours. Worried that it may rupture or lead to an infection, we were referred to this place by friends, and were able to quickly make an appointment. Upon entering, you are immediately greeted and checked in, then taken to one of the pet specific rooms. Ours was the meow room, which had bird sounds playing, comfy chairs for pet parents, and treats for your furry family member. The vet tech was very thorough and gentle in her examination of my cat. Using kind words, lots of pets, and making sure she was as comfortable as she could be. The Veterinarian came in and was even more thorough, and she made sure to offer recommendations, and made sure to give us information regarding what could and couldn't be done. We decided to move forward with surgery to hopefully save my kitty's foot, and not only was the surgery successful, but the way they hand carried my cat into the room, talking to her and giving her kisses made me fall in love with this office. The prices were reasonable, and they also offer a discount based on referrals. Thank you Urgent Vet for all that you do!

Oct 12, 2024 · Deshika BThey were very attentive and kind. My dog is deaf and they were so gentle with her. My dog was not hurt but having severe allergy issues. It was a 30 minute drive for us but I would definitely do it again if the need arouse. They were great and it was very refreshing.
Oct 20, 2024 · Jennie VTheir wonderful staff helped our family on one of the hardest days of our lives. Our senior dog was suffering through the end of her life and we knew a hard decision had to be made. We were unable to get someone to come to our home in time so we called Lake Mary Urgent Vet. Their “hospice” room was set up as a living room and a comfortable bed for our Harmony. They were so patient and caring with us and so loving to Harmony during this heart-wrenching time. The following week at our house was so different without our girl. Friday came and we received such a sweet card from the staff with her nose and paw print. The tears were flowing again. Thank you for your caring demeanor, it will never be forgotten. God bless.
Sep 01, 2024 · Jessica KirklandI really dislike leaving negative reviews, and tried to solve this with the staff originally. I was not totally upset until my concern was not followed up with by a manager like I had been told. The aftermath of my experience has been horrific, and deserves the decency of at least speaking with me. I brought my 16-year old chihuahua in for some bleeding from her mouth (assuming a tooth abscess or losing a tooth). They were unsuccessful in looking in her mouth, so they gave her an antibiotic injection and a “topical pain-medicine that would probably just make her sleepy lasting anywhere from 8 hours to 4-days” since I probably wouldn’t have luck with oral medication. This medicine is called Zorbium. Pet owners: BEWARE. This has only been approved and recommended by the manufacturer for surgical procedures in cats and was only tested on cats up to 5 years old. It is an opioid 30x more potent than morphine. It also is up to an 11% death rate and has an entire group dedicated to exposing the risks this medication has even on cats within this age range. The manufacturer says they have NO data on this being given to dogs. Since it is a transdermal medication, dogs absorb things through their skin differently than cats and have different enzymes that the medication attaches to which is why it is not approved for use in dogs. She was also given the larger dosage which is only approved in cats larger than 6.5 pounds. Keep in mind, she is an elderly 4.5 pound dog with a toothache. The effects are AWFUL. She has been twitching, has starting hopping and not using her back legs, didn’t urinate for 3 full days, didn’t eat or have a bowel movement for 5 full days, didn’t sleep for 3 whole days, has become extremely paranoid and skittish, whining incessantly especially at night, and is a completely different dog. This medication was administered on 10/13. I brought her to a new vet for a second opinion (other than our normal vet) today on 10/23. Her right eye is still completely dilated, and we have reason to believe the medication still was not out of her system because of her ongoing symptoms. She was administered Naloxone (think of Narcan) and given fluids. I’m so disappointed. This could’ve easily been something we worked through together, but since you’ve chosen to ignore my info I will resort to putting all of this info for everyone. Do your research on Zorbium. And, join the FB group because I am not the only one with this story (though I am the only dog owner so far!)
Oct 28, 2024 · Aubrey ClevingerI brought my cat bandit in and they were extremely friendly and helpful on figuring out what was wrong. They made sure he was extremely comfortable even after his kitty minutes expired. They kept complimenting him and trying to give him pets. They gave him treats to help calm him down after they got swabs of his ears due to ear issues. If I ever have anymore problems with my cat I will definitely be bringing him back here.
