Love this place. Been going here years before they even renovated and expanded when I used to have a cat. They take care of both of my dogs now. They always explain the costs of everything and even show me an invoice before they do any procedures and wait for our approval before moving forward. They’re so sweet to my dogs and one of them has severe severe vet anxiety and they’re always so patient and give him lots of treats. We literally drive 40 minutes one way to go here. I highly recommend and will continue to drive this distance because they’re the only people I trust.

Jul 14, 2024 · Lily BeckmannI'm a huge fan of Sunset Animal Clinic! Whether it's a regular checkup or addressing specific concerns, the team consistently provides knowledgeable, and caring service. From the friendly receptionists to the skilled technicians and doctors, the experience is always wholesome. Despite my pets' natural aversion to the vet, they come out with every concern resolved, and that makes me really happy!
Dec 30, 2023 · Aura MorenoThere are things I appreciate about this clinic. They examine your pet in front of you instead of taking them to the back, which I find reassuring. I’ve had experiences with both Dr. Khuly and Dr. Duenas, and they were knowledgeable and pleasant. However, my most recent experience with Dr. Khuly left me disappointed. I brought in a feral community cat suffering from severe stomatitis for a dental procedure. Initially, I was given an estimated quote I agreed to, but while the cat was under anesthesia, I received a call with a revised quote that was four times higher. I value quality veterinary care, but this felt excessive, and I had little choice but to agree, as the cat was already on the table. When I picked up the cat, I was frustrated to find he was wearing an e-collar (which I was charged for) and still had a bandage on his leg. These seemed unnecessary, especially considering I had mentioned he was a feral community cat and in all my life, none of my cats that have had dentals required an e-collar, much less a feral cat. Additionally, for pain management after having so many teeth removed, the clinic only prescribed gabapentin and Onsior. I was surprised there was no antibiotic provided and disappointed there wasn’t stronger pain relief, like buprenex, which would have been more appropriate. Overall, I regret choosing this clinic for the dental procedure. While their staff is capable, the handling of this situation fell short of my expectations, especially for the unique needs of a community cat. Never again. Editing my review in response to the vet's response: I think you failed to see the issue here was not so much with the quote itself, but the fact it's feral cat. I was well aware of what a dental consists of and with the many rescue cats I've had, many have had dentals which were expensive, but this one beat them all. Why on earth would you put an e-collar and charge me for it and leave the Band-Aid on the leg. Thankfully he was still out of it when we got home, and I was able to remove it.
Nov 20, 2024 · C RThis review is my own personal experience and mine alone. I am not familiar with anyone from this clinic and I am not obligated to leave a review. I walked in here for the first time this past week to put my dog to rest after almost 17yrs. It was an extremely difficult experience for myself being that he was my first dog I have ever had and he meant the world to me. It still does not feel real he is gone. I honestly feel a little bad being that I can not remember anyone's name at this clinic outside from the doctor herself, so I do apologize. I believe the doctors name was Jackie if I am not mistake, and I just wanted to thank her and her team for the support, guidance, and kindness they showed me and my dog. Not once did I feel swayed one way or the other in regards to the decision I made for my little guy. They did the best they could making the experience as smooth as possible and making sure me and my boy were comfortable so I felt compelled to show my appreciation for her and her team by leaving a review. Again, I have no ties to this place and I have never used them once before in the past. I have always had an at home vet who would take care of my dog, however he was not licensed to handle the procedure so I had to find someone new. Lastly, when it comes to Sunset Animal Clinic I can say confidentially that this place truly cares and gives outstanding service to their animals and to their owners. In my opinion this place sets the standard in terms of how employees working at an animal clinic should conduct themselves. Complete professionalism. Thank you again.
Aug 29, 2024 · Jorge SuarezThe team here is really kind and compassionate! I found some lost dogs and this team helped me locate their owner through their microchips and even offered to house the dogs until I could make contact with the owner.
