Do not take your pet here if they are having a major health issue. Two times brought in our Rottie and all they did was give antibiotics and took a blood sample. He had blood dripping out of his nose and a-lot of mucous. So they said bacteria infection or he could have something stuck up in his nose. They didn’t even check his nose! Took him the antibiotics seemed to clear the issue. 3-4 weeks later his eye was very red and wasn’t focusing the right way and developed a lump on his face under the eye and you could tell he was in pain. Boyfriend took him back and they just gave antibiotics again he was also due for rabies shot we got notice in mail so they knew this and didn’t give it to him. The meds didn’t help at all. Took to another vet where we found out it was an abscess tooth and the cause was some object had got stuck in his gum and was somehow the jaw bone was trying to grow over it and it cracked his tooth in half. All three of our dogs will never go back here again!

I called to make an appointment for my puppy today as new patients but the receptionist or whoever picks up the phone is extremely rude. I hung up and will definitely not be coming here. 0 stars

My family and I have been using Dr. Powers since 1988. He is the absolute best Vet in the area. So wonderful that my immediate family travels an hour to for Vet appointments with their pets. He has taken amazing care of all of our family pets. Dr. Powers is able to determine with minimally invasive techniques the majority of our pets ailments. When needed he will send us to a specialty vet and ensure while under their care that our pets are receiving the appropriate treatments. Dr. Powers and the staff at Southside Animal Hospital have been with us through the fun puppy phase to the hard ache of losing our pets. He handles all of the situations with class and provides the moral support when needed. Dr. Marrow was a great addition to the Southside Animal Hospital family and is equally as great as Dr. Powers.

Exceptional Care for Our Beloved Odin. I am compelled to share my recent experience at Southside. While I had left a review a few years ago, I feel it's necessary to express my gratitude once again. About three weeks ago, my 10-year-old Labrador, Odin, fell terribly ill. He was experiencing alarming symptoms, including urinating blood, difficulty breathing, and a high fever. It was a harrowing Monday morning, and I feared for his life. Upon calling Southside at 7:00 AM, we were instructed to bring him in immediately. The feeling of helplessness during such a situation is indescribable. However, Dr. Morrow and the entire team at Southside sprang into action without hesitation. Odin spent nearly three days under their care, undergoing multiple treatments and receiving various medications. Throughout his stay, the staff kept us informed at every step of his treatment process. Words cannot adequately express my gratitude for the exceptional care provided by Southside during our time of need. I've dealt with other veterinarians in the past, but none have instilled the level of trust and confidence that Southside has. To Dr. Morrow and the dedicated team at Southside: your compassion, expertise, and unwavering commitment to the well-being of our beloved pets are truly commendable. I cannot thank you enough for everything you've done for Odin and our family.
